Yes when GCAS indicates that application processing has started, it means the file has been transferred. This is my understanding at least based on my own experience.

There is no exact time for that part of the process and there is no second AOR. However GCAS will state that processing has commenced and this is an indication of the transfer.

As far i know their is no exact time for it.

Thank much guys. I am still unable to link my account but my application status on mycic says application received so I guess processing has not started. I received AOR on March 2nd.

Hello I'm from nepal I applied for CIC on Oct 2016 but till march I haven't received any email from CIC so worried and called federal CIC and they informed me that my AOR was send by mail on my post box on Feb 8 and came to know my email address that I have send CIC was wrong and I inform them then they send me ICCRC form in my correct email I'd and they request me if I want to Chang my email I'd then I have to fill the form and send to CIC. I got my AOR/UCI no via mail on 2017 march 14 and ecas shows status "in process" and I fill the form and send to CIC to correct my email address on march 22. I'm worried I should received medical request till now my question is if they have send medical request and RPRF request on my wrong address??

It is strange that CIC is communicating via mail. My understanding is that AOR is sent over email. Even when it comes to the other requests, they are all sent over email. It is good that you have access to your account using ECAS, you can also link it using GCKey which will provide additional details.

What messages you see when you click on your ECAS link? It would show any communications that may have been sent to you. GCKey will give even more details.

The next step is medical and RPRF. They usually come together but it is not a must. And yes, I will probably create few monthly post to share how I am preparing and hopefully few post landing.

From my point of view I would suggest that the life should be normal until we receive the approval.

PPR in July or August is too optimistic for QSW Application submitted in end of Oct 2016. Current processing time ( Application submission to PPR ) is 13 months. Not sure if your VO is Ottawa or New Delhi but either way I would not count on getting PPR before Sept 2017 for you. After PPR you will also need to submit Passports and it might be another 7-15 days before you get your PP in hand.

Just to give you some perspective , I am mid-Oct 2016 applicant and I am preparing for landing between Oct 2017 ( best case scenario) and Dec 2017 ( worst case scenario).

This is what my lawyer has told me .. 13 months for federal application processing after the filing date

Roughly 4 to 6 months from time you completed medical exam

Not an expert. CIC counts time from the date application reaches Sydney Office and right now processing time is 13 months.

I did not send PCC with application. I sent those after AOR. I did not get any email to submit PCC. I did get a "generic" email after AOR ( check my signature) and that email was received by most of the applicants with similar timelines as me.

Why if your signature says PCC received by Sydney if your VO is Ottawa..also PCC submission acknowledgement is for soft copy submission or physical submission...I am asking because I have acknowledgement for soft copy submission only and nothing for physical copy submission.. my VO is Ottawa
