Question:
In the email, it says, DO NOT FILL OUT THE ADDRESS SECTION ON YOUR CANADA POST RETURN ENVELOPE.

But my friend insisted that I needed to write, even people in canada post told me to write my address on the return one. So I did it.

It is not a big deal right??

Hi kevindi888
based on my experience, it will take a couple of months (some suggest at least 4 months between medical request and Request for Passport for QSW--which seems to be the case for inland applicants. But it may be faster in other VOs. My VO is Sydney NS and Ottawa.

I believe it should not be an issue. I asked the lady@ Canada Post, she actually suggested I not put down my address in the return envelope (then, I realized that the email also asked us not to--she's right then.... But what if we did? I could have possibly filled in my address if I went to another CanadaPost counter. I think CIC will just verify the address and then use it to send it back. If there is any issue, they should contact you... (and this waiting process after PPR is unexpectedly long )

Congrats @PPRVSR!

@Smearingo posted a message today, you can find it here:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/quebec-skilled-worker-federal-stage-after-csq-t298038.6450.html

The important part of his message is that:

"
Based on the sharing of some fellow PR applicants on this thread and elsewhere of this forum, I believe the gap between PPR and CoPR is approximately 10 days, but some pessimistically suggested that it could be anything from 2 to 10 weeks (!!!)
"

Do you guys know how much time it takes to get the PR card without doing the landing at the borders?
I know there is an office somewhere in Montreal downtown but I am not sure how much time it takes.

Thanks.

Do you mean activating the PR status, aka "landing"? (PR card is another thing that will come 6-8 weeks later after landing).

I know that landing can be done within Canada in CIC office. I believe there is one in Montreal, but it seems the appointment is quite fully booked---it will take several weeks (I am not sure).

Yeah,I wrote the exact same address on ANNEX A. They will write the same address anyway after cofirmation.

Let's hope we can get our passport back soon.

Thank you alemon, and your work for the google doc.

It was @marcomcarneiro that placed it in google.docs, I just did the table!
In a couple of weeks we will not be entering here so often, so the ones that remain here have the responsibility to continue updating it.

Landing question

Just wondering what is needed to show proof of funds. Do all inland applicants need to show funds in the bank?
How much is required on the bank statement. Also do you need to show funds if you are employed.

Is there are problem if you are unemployed at the time of landing?
Anyone
