I just realized that after PPR, the waiting game is not over yet.
I received the PPR email on January 5 (Thu) and sent my package of required documents at around 18:00 of that day.
The lady at CanadaPost told me by XpressPost it would be received in 2 business days (guaranteed), that is, on January 9 Monday.
First, my experience is: the tracking system of Canada Post is unreliable and frustrating. It has shown the status "out for delivery" since Monday morning around 10ish and has not changed to anything else. I read somewhere else in this forum that it is normal (as the CIC received too many Xpresspost materials particularly during peak periods. More often than not the envelopes might not be scanned when they arrive....) so I take it to mean that my package has already arrived (though I still made a complaint to Canada Post anyway).
While I believed that process should be straightforward and anticipated that I could go to land this week, I still have not received the CoPR. The return Xpresspost envelope has not been activated. I learnt that at some point when they issue the CoPR and before we receive it, our MyCIC account will have some updates, such as the status for final decision will change from "not started" to "complete." And for this, we should get an email notification. This has not happened thus far.
Based on the sharing of some fellow PR applicants on this thread and elsewhere of this forum, I believe the gap between PPR and CoPR is approximately 10 days, but some pessimistically suggested that it could be anything from 2 to 10 weeks (!!!)
Let's hope this round it is going to be quick.
