Congrats. Federal PR in 7 months and 1 week :)

New Year gift from CIC.

This would screw up alemom's 280 days AOR to PPR/COPR theory though ;)

Hi Eddie,

Congratulations on the passport request!

I see that you have a mexican flag on your avatar. Did you apply at Mexico City Visa Office or are you an inland applicant? If so, when did you asked for the police certificate? Any ideas on delays?

Thank You, Im from Mexico,I applayed on Mexico City, for the police certificate they asked me for the mexican police certificate wich I asked for it when CIC asked for me and sent me a letter that was needed to obtain the police certificate in Mexico, and they also asked me for the police certificate of United States (FBI) becouse I lived there for a year, that one I asked for it before CIC requested it becouse for getting the bfi certificate you need to wait 2 months

Gracias Marco (hablas español?)

Yes, I'm so happy... I'm sure yours is really close to arriving, and thank you for placing the table-list in google.docs, will be of great help to others.
I added to your document a new sheet with the latest data...

Si, un poco :) Soy brasileno...
I was reading your larger post while walking outside, I honestly teared up. Thanks so much for sharing it and for helping with your table. Best of luck for the future. We'll be laughing of all this hopefully soon.
Kind regards,
Marco

Hi everybody,

I can't express how happy we are (me and my family) because we received the change of status to Decision Made and the PPR email the same day (as happened with @Smearingo yesterday).

Dear Alemom,

it's so funny how you changed the name to alemom in the screenshot :D
suddenly this scene crossed my mind today: maybe we would be landing at Lacolle the same day and then pass by each other at the Port of Entry!
I believe the official document for landing (aka CoPR) should arrive some time next week (or early in the week of Jan 16 the latest). My roommate would take a day off the day after, as we planned, to go to Burlington VT for a day trip then do the landing process on our way back (no my roommate is not a would-be PR, he has become a citizen for a long time). I have been looking forward to this day, I can almost touch it now!
I heard that there are several essential items and suggested items we should bring such as
Passport, CoPR, Work Permit, CSQ, bank statements/payslips and job contract
anything else?

Obrigado Marco! your spreadsheet is such a great work. I am sure good news is coming soon for your PR application.

hello guys,
how long it will take to get passport back..since its already been 16 days...
send my passport on 19 december 2016
received by CPC-PR-OTTAWA ON 21 december 2016
receiver's signature : BB
waiting for return envelope tracker activation
As my CIC account states:
APPLICATION STATUS: CLOSED
Review of eligibility:PASSED
Review of medical results:Passed
Review of submitted documents:
Scheduling an Interview :
Background check is needed: Complete
Final decision: This application has been Approved
So am in worry why it take so long..?
Thanks

Are you able to track the prepaid return envelope? (they asked you to enclose a prepared xpresspost from CanadaPost, right?)
has it been sent from Ottawa?

Hi smearingo,
Someone told me that once they issue ur COPR and stamp a visa on ur passport then ur CIC account will update and shows closed and application has been approved..
Now I just crossed my fingers maybe next week I will get any update about my passport

I really hope your passport is coming back soon! I believe it's just because of the holidays and the officers adjusting back to work.
but it really sucks (to learn that the envelope has not even been activated) :( i can totally feel your anxiety dear :(

Hi,I have obtained my csq on august 2016.i have sent my PR application to nova scotia in September 2016 but no response come till date. So I am worried :o

@Smearingo,
I was so eager to receive the "decision made" status or email or whatever that I invested a lot of time in collecting all the data I could. I built the table to see any sign or key. Mostly looking a pattern, in which I finally based my "theory" of the +/-280 days after the AOR.
I knew it was so close but at the same time you don't know really and you have doubts because exceptions are and it could take more time (the table is a prove of it) and when I saw the status this morning and then received the email, that was wonderful. I wanted to show to those are waiting for it how it looks like in the eCAS when you have the "decision made", but of course keeping my information out of it... that's why I altered the image!
Would be nice if some of us can schedule (if possible) to go the same day, and meet. We have had and share some agony here. I don't know what is needed, but whatever it is I'll bring it.
