Hi Vanco,

Hope you are enjoying time now being a permanent resident in canada. I have a small question for you: what was written in your GCMS notes when u applied for It ? Is it possible for you to copy paste the text of the email for others to take help in understanding it. Do you think I should apply for my GCMS notes ? Coz we both share quite similar timelines and I haven't heard from IRCC since my medical.

Nothing changed after landing except a new SIN#. ;D

I will suggest applying the GCMS. This is your legal right.

And the GCMS is actually a complete case file of your application, including VO notes, file transfer histories, assessments of eligibility/criminal/medical, etc.

Just go and order one. Good luck!

I know but applied before me, and finished within a year(normal processing time)
Anyway, we should keep in touch and inform each other if anything comes up.

First congratulations. And hope your dreams come true.
Secondly I am applying from outside Canada but my lawyer is situated in Canada. Now can I ask for the GCMS and when should I do that. (I applied in July 2015 received my AOR in September but nothing after that. I’m literally terrified from this silence).

Gosh. I visited more than 50 countries,. I am terrified. This should be in OUR FAVOR not AGAINST us. Why should traveling slow down the processing? Really pissed off and confused. No logic at all.

As far i know they check all country where you have visited if you did any criminal activity or not.
If you visited more country I think it will take more timr.

Yes, you can ask your lawyer to order the notes (or someone else who has PR/citizenship/physically in Canada).
In this case, it is not Privacy act but Access to information (give someone access to your info).
What you need is a consent form and a payment of $5 CAD. And you could do it at any time you want.

Hello everyone i received CSQ today and getting ready for the federal phase,
my question is what are the fees that we still have to pay?
i heard there is the processing fees when i send the csq to federal and then there is the landing fees with the passport?
is this true?

thanks

Hi Mikediwan

there is actually some payment for the processing ( see the form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5620E.pdf)

there will be also after sometime the Right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) $450

Regards,

Dear All,
Could you help in this regard that I submitted payment by mail on 15 June and mail delivered on 16 June? But still my file shows "waiting for payment". When they will update my payment status? What I have to do later on? How much time it will take to complete the whole process for the immigration to Canada?

I received CSQ and applying for Federal from INDIA. Can anyone please clarify me the below questions?

1. I received a CSQ and they are asking to indicate the CSQ number in "GENERIC APPLICATION FORM1. FOR CANADA". which number should i indicate?

2. I received two copies of CSQ (Hard copies). Which copy should i need to submit in original while applying for Federal?

3. Additional Dependants/Declaration Form (IMM 0008DEP)

I am filling the form. My parents are retired and dependent on me. Do i need to fill the form for them? what is the dependent type that i need to mention as they are senior citizens?

Hi bullrules

Congrats for the CSQ and good luck for the Federal.

well regarding The CSQ number it is referred on your CSQ Letter under:
2. Numero du dossier : DA00000****

and for The copy that should be sent to the immigration is the one at the bottom with:

2- IMMIGRATION. CANADA

Regarding the Additional Dependants/Declaration Form (IMM 0008DEP), you don;t have to fill it unless you have more than 5 dependents accompanying you to Canada. Ignore it
