Last night my Ecas changed to decision made. So I guess decision made is seen in ecas when an application is approved and the passport/COPR is on its way. ask your attorney for a screen shotamit.r said:Ohhh.. that's not good probably.. I can't access CIC myself as attorney is using it..
As soon as you get CSQ you should apply if you can, you will have to gather documents again including police certificates etc. The federal stage can take a while - like 13 months - so get your file in and get in line.swamik said:Dear all,
I am coming back here after few years. Would like to know before when I should send my application for PR after receiving my CSQ. I know CSQ is valid for 3 years not sure about the timeframe within which I should send the application for PR. Read somewhere its within 1 year. But cannot find any authentic link, if someone can share any insight it would be great
True I have to do it at the earliest. However, I am in Australia and moved here with family, hence quite tough to proceed with the application from here. As I have quite a lot of dependency in India. But will be in India sometime later this year and wanted to finish of then.. hence this query. Kindly let me know the valid time before which I must apply..Bajan4Quebec said:As soon as you get CSQ you should apply if you can, you will have to gather documents again including police certificates etc. The federal stage can take a while - like 13 months - so get your file in and get in line.

Dot worry, the inland applicants, who submitted their documents last June, have not received the DM.amit.r said:Thank you Bajan !

Is there a link which can assist me in arranging the docs for the PR after CSQ ?
You're soon at the end of this QSW tunnel, don't despair. Following medical and receipt of medical to the VO it could take up to 6 months to get passport request, then after that I should take 3 to 5 weeks for the return of landing documents and you're complete.amit.r said:Thank you Bajan !

Well this is a decision you and your family must make, if it is Canada or Australia that you want. If it's Canada you must do whatever possible. Technically, you must apply before your CSQ expires, I think if it's expired you have to go through the CSQ process again, im not sure maybe some other can say what happens definitively. I would suggest doing it asap, for the following reasons: 1) when you land in Canada at the end of the process the CSQ must be valid. You still have to present to the customs doing your landing a valid CSQ. 2) I have seen some others mentioning the process can be a bit longer than 13 months to completion on the federal end for NDVO. So if in box #17 on your CSQ says that your BVC is NDVO, you may have to wait sometime. 3) I do not think for the federal (someone correct me) that you MUST submit the Police Certificates of Character (PCC) with your initial application though many people do it to cut down on time (that's the belief) me included. I think that you can submit it later In the processing on your own or when they request of you to send. 4) if you wait until further in the year, i believe it may take long to obtain a PCC from India and Australia (if you have been there for more than 6 months) this adds further to your delay of the processing of your file as year on year it's more demand, the processing taking longer and longer and of course your CSq will be at risk to expire. I will suggest to send your Federal file no later than 6 months following receiving CSQ.
I do not have a link for what you need to include in your federal package but you can try CIC website it's very informative.
