It took 1 day to arrive (it got activated yesterday). Got it delivered today.
But the status of the application got updated before the return envelope was activated So check that too.
You can also make it so you receive notifications when your canada post tracking is updated. There is an option on the canada post website. This way you don't need to check all the time

For me i have sent my passport on last thursday, still now the tracker is not activated and any changes in the cic website for me it is decision made.
whether after the passport sent will the status will be changing?

Hi guys, got back my passport along with the COPR.

Now I am not sure what to do for the next step.
Two options:
1. apply for US visa so I can go to the border for the landing
2. book an appointment at the office in Montreal.

Does anyone know how much time it can take for the application
to be proccessed by the office in Montreal?
I prefer this option to be honest as I avoid the US visa fees and the hassle of
going to the borders.

I think we both received PPR the same day, i sent my package even earlier than u did. But I got no news from CIC, my return envelope has not been activated and my delivery envelope still remains "out for delivery". I am from visa extempt country---I believe it will be straightforward and fast for my case. I am frustrated when I read your message. I know I shouldn't take it that way but I feel a bit unfair :'(

And for your q: u can do flagpole without a Us visa. You will just receive a slip of refusal notice from US border which as I heard will not affect your future entries or visa application to the US.

Today the agent was nice to me. I said canada post could not confirm with me with my package, so can you confirm with me?
She said, probably the office did not open my letter yet, wait for next week.
And I said, i am just worried my passport got lost. She said it should be fine don't worry.
Well i guess i wait one more week. Anyway, I will keep checking.

But different agent will answer you differntly. I am not sure what they will say to you.

When does their call centre start work every morning? (Eastern time, I suppose?) I need to wake up around that time, so it's fine. But then I need to prepare to go to work which starts at 9 (but for certain I have enough time to handle a conversation on the phone).

This is another funny thing. It says 8 am to 4 pm your local time :

The TFN is for inlands only though. Have a friend in France trying to call it, doesn't work. Perhaps via Skype?
Often the guys at CIC treat you better if you speak in french, even if your French is not good. Not sure why, but I've had far better experiences when trying French rather than English.

Hey. I'm also waiting for the COPR. I think we're gonna receive it this week or next week. My friend told me it took her 2 weeks to get her passport back.

once again, it's the process of sharing my worries here and reading your messages and responses that saves my sanity when my patience is wearing thin these days.
I think I will give them one more day. If there is still no news, then I will call on Friday morning.

I believe 2 things will happen before CoPR arrives at our doors / in our mailboxes:
(i) the return envelope will be activated, AND
(ii) an email will hit our mailbox from CIC telling us that MyCIC account has updates [and if for some reason, the email is not received, then, there should be updates anyway in MyCIC when our files are being finalized].
