Just venting here, but I have multiple offers from Canadian companies to work but the BOWP is taking so long as well as PR, I’m in a situation where I need to risk flagpoling or just remaining on EI sucking cash unnecessarily simply because of a missing piece of paper / email confirmation. And I’m INLAND with Canadian children.

This entire forum is made up of highly skilled, professional, good natured people ready to work and contribute to CA society who’ve all paid high costs in cash(I’ve seen some outlanders need 3 medical exams which aren’t cheap), time and effort (language exams, paperwork, notarizing).

I know I should be counting my lucky stars I’m safe when others in the world right now are not. My family and I are also OK for funds short term, but 4+ months minimum for Open permit and unknown for PR completion is taking its toll when I literally have opportunities being removed from the table due to processing delays.

OK vent over, but I appreciate the ear and all of your continued support.

I had Medical exam passed yesterday. Waiting on DM now.

This is getting extremely ridiculous for Outlands.

My file is waiting from January 2019 and still no DM.
Even people who applied 2 years after me now getting their DMs.

Is it really fair? We all know that they prioritise inlands, we all know that every file is different.
But the difference is not several months, it is more than 2 years and counting.

LSAA: 09/02/2022
Medical request: 02/15/2022
Medical exam: 02/23/2022
Medical passed: 02/03/2022


QUESTION: It's that I paid for my common law spouse's biometrics (she's in the application but as not accompanying ) and they returned the money for her biometrics. Is this normal?
Mine biometrics were exempted because I already did them a few years ago.
Just to mention, they requested a medical exam for her though, and she passed. So no biometrics, just medical exam it seems. Opinions?

I just got my pre-arrival letter today after 2 years and a haft since my federal application. However I have not received medical request yet. Do you know how long it usually takes from pre-arrival to medical request for outland applicants? Thanks a lot!

Be patient and wait for their email. If not, call them to inquire why it's taking so long to receive an e-mail from them.

They have requested Additional documents from me around the same time, but never heard back from them. Seeing a DM's a good sign at least. Wish you best of luck!
