Hello kabayans,

Hows ur application doin'? Just a piece of advice lang, i know the feeling of a "waiting-game"..stress level is so high, so while waiting for the reply form the immigration, why not devote your time studying the language (French). When was in the Philippines, I kept on saying na kayang kaya ko ang french once I will be in quebec. That I can find a work with just basic French in my arsenal. But when i reached here na, its not that easy po especially when you look for a job. I applied for a job through online (cguro more than a hundred na) and yes, i received several phones call but the very first question they asked was, "are you fluent in French?" when i said, NO, they suddenly hanged up. When i met some locals, ive tried to communicate but once they open their mouth, i can't understand a single word. Buti lang sana if through reading kasi im a bit familiar (take note 99% of their signage are in french). This is not to discourage you guys but while may time pa dyan sa pinas, devote yourself studying holistically their language. Yes, meron french school den dito for you to study but make sure your money is enough to sustain your stay while you study french. Good luck mga kabayans...

PS: some members are asking me through PM but when i am about to send my replies, it doesnt allow kasi full yung inbox nyo)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. You can do eeet! Yakang-yaka niyo po yan! *silently cheers you on* :D

This was the reason why I was stressing the importance of learning french on my previous posts. When I got here pong, I listened to radios, read newspapers, watch tv all in french para lang masanay ears ko sa language. Its good to have additional pointers from you pong. Bon chance to us here in Montreal.

I applied in a JCI accredited hospital. Took the exam and passed it with a result of being the top 1 in all of the examinees but I was not hired since I have a pending application abroad. naging honest lang naman ako nung tinanong nla ako if may pending application ba ako abroad.

Next time do not mention your application abroad. Especially na wala pang visa. I kept quiet on my application to Quebec. I never said a word in my place of work. However, the OIIQ requirement on employment gave me away. That's how they found out I was applying abroad. When they learned about it, I was no longer given continuing education seminars at work, for the rest of the year. So I left not saying a single word too. I took a leave of absence and went straight to resigning. 8)

hello sir, are you working now as a nurse in quebec? I would like to ask if is it possible to apply as LPN in Quebec instead of RN in OIIQ? Thanks for sharing info here,,,

Hi here. I would like to ask your advice. I'm an Operating room nurse in the Phil's with 5 yrs experience and I just got my AOR. Is it alright that I resign from my work so I can transfer to a high paying job not related to nursing para atleast mkaipon ako. Or kailangan I'm still currently employed sa hospital while nka process pa ang application ko. Thanks so much again.

I think you should try to ask your Immigration Consultant about this. They might give a better insight.
