Hi,

No. My Ecas changed 4 days after I received the email.
I have friends it changed in the same day.
And friends that changed before... there is no rule for this :(

Hi

I am a student in Montreal Quebec. I will apply for CSQ very soon. However before the application I am getting married. So my questions are;
1. As I am on study visa , do I need to change my passport name before filing for CSQ.
2. I will file CSQ as married so will this affect my study visa as on that I am single.
3. after getting CSQ Can I apply for PR from my home country or Do I need to be in Canada?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Hi ,
Your marriage will not effect anything.
Apply CSQ ( include your spouse in application , if you get married before you apply) and
You can stay or go back to your country depends on your situation and update that to Quebec/Canada immigration .

I received the passaport request before the "Decision made" appears on ECAS.
I received the passaport request 4 days before it appears online.

As I said, there is no rules. I have friends that received the passaport request in the same day their status changed online.
and friends who received the passaport request after the status changed on ECAS

Thanks for the answer. Can I apply for CSQ with the same passport in which my status is single and attached my marriage certificate with it.
And how can I inform to CIC about my stay or If I wud go to my home country after getting CSQ.

Thanks

OMG

out of curiosity, I just logged into the On-Line PR Status check portal and I can see that my status has been updated into DECISION MADE!

"We started processing your application on May 28th, 2014", "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision"

I am freaking out!!!

This can only mean good news, right? I have not received any notifications from CIC!

Post your timeline!!!!

I have two citizenships: one south american one european. One of my passports requires an entry visa, the other one doesnt. I enter Canada with the one that doesnt.

Since I would have to go through several emails to get the exact dates, here is a very apporximate timeline:

PR application: sent early October 2013
AOR: October 7th 2013
Medical request: mid December 2013
Medical Exams performed: December 18th 2013
RFPR fee requested: early May 2014, paid inmediately
Application processed: May 28th 2014
DM: around June 4th 2014

Never got any other communications or even passport request... Crossing my fingers it is all good news!
