Hi everyone, my status is just updated to ''Decision Made''. Does this mean I got accepted or it's literary some kind of decision is made? I have not gotten any email yet. Anyone know if the officer will contact me through email or a letter?
Another problem, I am currently not in Canada due to my family issue though I applied as an applicant within Canada. I dont know if I should send my passport from here if I get the passport request. If anyone has an idea give me some advice please. cheers.

Here is the detail of my status.

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on June 11, 2012.

We started processing your application on August 16, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Some countries do not require the passport to be sent, from what I've heard, so I wouldn't panic yet! :)

No updates on my side.

you gonna get your soon .I am behind you ... :D

Thanks for cheering up guys!
I don't know if my country is visa exempt one or not. I mean I don't need a visa for visiting Canada. But I know people from my country had to send Passport to the government...
I still have my room in Canada and my roomie is taking care of my mails so it should not be a matter if the letter comes but...
Hopefully it will be ok...

You can check if you need a visa on CIC's website (www[d0T]cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp - sorry, can't post a link)

However, some cases don't apply to this rule, I've seen some theoretically exempt cases need to send their passport and some who should be required not having to. It's kind of random but there is a general rule that should be applied.

EDIT:

Hey,

Congrats, i have a question, did you apply to sydney or directly to ottawa

here is the link for visa exempt countries and non visa exempt countries http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/visit/visas-all.asp

Nope, I have not gotten anything from them. However, they replied my email last Tuesday.
I am really scared of that I may be refused since I don't get PPR. I know I am from the visa exempt country but I also know everyone from my country had to send their passports in past cases. Maybe they changed their system this year I dont know. I hope so...
