Quebec Outland Sponsorship Spouse - waiting time

I just recently submitted my application for outland sponsorship from the US. We will be residing in Quebec and I know once we get SA at the federal level, we'll have to apply for Quebec SA. Anyone have experience with this in terms of waiting time? Does this extra step for Quebec applicants significantly slow down the process compared to non-quebec applicants?

Wait time does not change, After Federal SA approval file gets transferred to the Visa Office. Quebec process your app in the meantime, and there is no impact on the processing time of your file; except the additional cost of the $275 for the spouse and $110 for each dependent.

Same here. You only have to send the forms and documents to the MIDI. Your sponsor will receive the CSQ few weeks after. I read that the delay to get the CSQ increased but it should not impact your overall application. Good luck.

Anyone else have experience having to get the CSQ and the processing time of this and your overall application?

I got my SA on April 19th and I got my CSQ delivered on May 2nd and I received it with the date of June 3rd my app started processing June 16th.

CSQ doesn't seem to slow down the process.

From April 19th until May 2nd, I find this amount of time to be a bit too long to send out the forms but it was the best I can do with my very busy schedule!

The current processing time for a family class CSQ is about 3 months. Ottawa is the fastest office around and many Americans receive approval in only a few months. As you will need to wait at least 3 months after SA for the CSQ, it's possible that your app may take longer than it would have if you were not residing in Quebec. However, you can still expect your app to be processed much faster than pretty much anyone else in the world.

I sent in my APP to Mississauga on August 3rd, and after receiving my AOR2 request for the CSQ from HK on Sept 1st was delayed by local political issues from sending the CSQ application out to MIDI until Sept 14th.
The fee was withdrawn 8 days later and since then MIDI has been silent.
While others on the same timeline in HK have had their background check bump over to "in progress" MyCIC still tells me that they are in need of additional documents (ie. the CSQ) and have issued an email requesting them with a November 10th due date.
I have emailed them with the web link that states MIDI is backed up, and shared with them the timeline and actions that I have just mentioned here. There was no reply from HK, and if I still hear nothing I will call them before the 10th to ease my (likely unwarranted) worry.

It is temporarily impossible for the Ministère to respect the 25-day timeframefor processing a sponsorship application due to excess applications. The Ministère is currently processing family sponsorship applications received by August 9, 2016. Information on processing times is updated regularly.

Hi everyone,

Can anyone guide me for some additional documents as Afghan national that I need for spouse sponsorship.
The questions and those forms that confuse me are as following:
In additional information for Afghan nationals there forms include which I cannot find most of them in CIC website but they are in the guide 3911e DON’T KNOW IF I CAN PRINT AND USE THEM ?
The forms are such as: Supplementary Information Form-Afghanistan. Education Background and work experience. Authorization to Disclose Information- Afghanistan [1]
RESIDENCY Questionnaire-Afghanistan. Proof of Relationship to sponsor and etc.
The above forms or text are as a form in the guide 3911 but I don’t know if I can use them.

1] Since I am not living in Afghanistan but the Authorization to Disclose information is address to ISLAMABAD Pakistan. I am residing in Turkey. What should I do for authorization disclose information?
AND when I should fill these documents? Do I have to fill them along with my application for permanent resident and send it to my sponsor? (But my sponsor “Wife” is also now in Turkey with me.)
Please give me your opinion and experience those who pass through the process.
And if anyone could tell me also that how can I rate their profile.
