Hi,

Thought to start a new thread for Quebecers...: :D

Type: Spousal
Visa Office: Paris (Algeria)

10/02/2013 - Meds done
08/05/2013 - CIC Application Received
31/05/2013 - Sponsorship approved / Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)
07/06/2013 - MICC (quebec) Application Received
14/06/2013 - Credit card charged

I have a question here. I can apply for Quebec CSQ right after I got the email from CIC about the approval of sponsorship. Am I right? Now my file is on the way to Hongkong and I have not hear anything from Hongkong visa office.

@oasisfairy. Yes, send your demand for CSQ and attach a copy of your SA approval letter.

Hi panlea, Thanks so much for your reply.
will Hongkong visa office give me any negative news while I got CSQ from Quebec? What is CSQ for application for spouse sponsorship application?

CSQ is part of the whole process. You absolutely need it to immigrate in Quebec. Once you receive it, they will send a copy to your VO. Your VO will be waiting for this. I don't know about negative replies. The CSQ is not just for sponsorship apps. I recommend you read on the MICC web site.

Yep...

* Proceed with CSQ once CIC tells you to go ahead with Quebec.
* Apply for a CSQ.
* Wait for CSQ.
* In our case, our VO asked for a copy of the CSQ when we received but some Visa Offices don't. We emailed a copy to our Visa Office.
* Once your Visa Office receives the CSQ, you wait...and wait...
* If you are from a visa-exempt country, the VO will simply ask to confirm your passport details. If you require a visa to enter Canada, then the VO will request your passport.
* Then you wait for the Confirmation of PR document.
* Once COPR received, prepare to land in Canada. :)

Hi,

Yes, my husband had an interview last October and was given it right away. He is from Algeria. He has yet to land because we are waiting for his army exemption; he is still on the army list at airport...:(

Good luck to all!!!

Hello I have submitted my sponsorship application about 2 weeks ago and just waiting for this to be approved in Mississauga.

In the mean time I am filling out the Undertaking Application form (Kit A) for Quebec. My only question relates to Section 5 (Declaration) where it asks whether the sponsor is domiciled in Quebec. I take this to mean whether the sponsor currently resides in Quebec?

The sponsor (my spouse) is Canadian citizen by birth but currently lives in the UK with me (the applicant). She intends to return to Quebec when I ma granted PR further down the line (applying Outland via London, UK) but just wondering whether this would cause an issue with the CSQ application?

I did include with the sponsorship application a letter from her mother who is in quebec that she will help us whilst move over.

Yes... I think it means "NO" in your case since your sponsor is not living in Quebec, yet.

Not sure if that has any effect on the CSQ application.

In our case, we were already in Quebec at the time of our application.
