Quebec investors after getting CSQ to get visa

Hi everyone,

I have applied in QIIP category and this is my profile-
December, 2012: Interview at Hong Kong
January, 2013: Submitted the finances
May, 2013: Received CSQ
May, 2013: Sent application to Sydney
August, 2013: On CIC website, status was Application received
July, 2014: Received letter from New Delhi Visa Office that application has reached there
How much time does New Delhi VO takes to process applications for QIIP?

Want to share my timeline.

Jan 2008 : Applied for 'Quebec Investor Program' in Islamabad, Pakistan

Jun 2010 : CIC kept on requesting my wife's security clearance documents from Libya because of her previous residency. But, Libyan government wasn't very helpful. Sent numerous letters (with some having "tracking") and Libyan government just didn't care to even say that we can't help you!

Dec 2010 : Was invited to Canadian Embassy in Syria for Interview. (Went really well)

Apr 2011 : Was told that application case file getting transferred to London, England

Jun 2012 : Was told that Libyan documents requested earlier not required anymore due to civil war in Libya.

Oct 2012 : Medical Received & Given by all dependents

Apr 2014 : Received Medical Again. Given by all dependents

May 2014 : Main Applicant received letter by post. Saying that I need to do ECG (current status). Went to Medical center and they said that they haven't received any letter yet from CIC. So, currently waiting!

What do you think are the chances now? Any ideas or comments would be well appreciated! I've also heard that in Feb 2014, they terminated Federal Investor and Business visa programs. Does this affect my application in any way?

[P.S. My entire interview (in Syria) was conducted in French and I was told that I do not need to submit any documents to prove my proficiency in French language]

Hi,

Was going through my files, emails and papers... and realized that I've already done the following in March 2012

- PPR1 (Submitting copies of passports)
- RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence Fee)
- 2 x Passport sized photos

Only after submitting these, I received my first medical instruction on 29th August, 2012. Then, the next communication I received was on 29th March 2014, to do medicals again.

This is very good piece of information and would appreciate if you can advise

Must appreciate lot of research being done.
Well I am going to Quebec on 26/08 for son's admission in Montreal and thinking
of visiting the immigration office to check what is happening on our file. Do you
think it will be good idea to do that?

btw, I've checked Quebec's Investor Program data and its success ratio is 96% overall


Regarding your travel to Montreal, your son's admission will not have any impact on it as Investor visa do not have requirement of exploratory visit. In Entrepreneur, yes! you have to make visit. In my view, visiting Immigration Office will disappoint you, because they only reply via email or post if you've applied abroad. Which Immigration Office are you planning to visit?

I really really hope and pray that you also hear good news. We all were luvky enough to have applied in Quebec (PNP) and are files are still alive.

It really means a lot to me. As of right now, it has been 6 years, 9 months and 8 days... And only now I had received PPR1 (where they request copies of passport's biodata and updated information chart. They gave 10 days deadline for this. Even my CIC online tracking got updated for the very first time since 2011.

I am happy now, but I am worried about landing now. I need an address in Quebec upon landing. So, im contacting various property agents. What do you think is a better idea?

Don't worry if God has got you so far here now and then he will find some ways
as well. So be happy and have faith in him as you did all these years.

My lawyer has office in Montreal as well and I have asked him if he can suggest
something and will let you know.

Also in this forum itself there are discussion threads for settling down so suggest
that you put up your request there as well.

Lastly don't you have any friends or relatives in Montreal or anywhere in Canada
who can help you?

Any which ways I will let you know if I get something positive from my lawyer.

None of my relatives live in Quebec province. Most of them live in Vancouver and Toronto ... and they are willing to help me as well... but visa conditions state that I need to give address in Quebec, otherwise I may end up misrepresenting myself and refused upon landing.

Please do ask your lawyer about advice on it. I'll also check settlement section of this forum. Thanks a million for your help Viz. Greatly Appreciated!

I ordered notes via my dependent in Canada and got it in 45 days ... and I also ordered notes via visafile.info... and got it after 105 days... however both notes were very different (the one I got it from through my dependent were much more thorough)
