Quebec investors after getting CSQ to get visa

That sounds encouraging appreciate your response in regards to the query. Another thing which i had in mind was what sort of questions should i expect in the interview for CSQ ?.

do you have a lawyer/ consultant?
If yes, he will brief you and banker's lawyer will accompany you during interview.

By the Grace of Allah Almighty, I have received my Passports and COPR today ... therefore completing PPR2 stage. (on 1st day of 2015) ;D .

I am so much happy and relieved ... and most of all.... thankful to all the people who have assisted me with this process.

Planning to move pretty soon ... in a couple of month ... because only have less than four months to arrange the landing.

Hello guys, I just found this forum and hope I can find my answer here as well. Hope CIC work fast for us in 2015.

I applied as Quebec Investor and my federal part was submitted to CIO in Sydney NS in July 2014. Almost 6 months passed. Till now, I still have not received an file number. Is there any one in similar situation as me? Does anyone know how long CIO will issue the file number in these days?

Hi Bro,

Please note that earlier when I applied, if all documents were in order then it was taking around
30 to 45 days approx but one of my friend who has applied also closer to your dates hasn't received
file no. and it seems that his lawyer has advised that currently it is taking around 6 months to get
the file no. but not sure how far it is true!!

Also if you have applied or if your lawyer has applied on your behalf then ask them to chase CIO
for finding out what is the status because again for this same friend of mine since he was not getting
file no. then he pushed his lawyer to ask CIO.

CIO then replied back saying birth certificates are missing hence file is held up. So please ask
your lawyer or you can chase up CIO directly to find out what is happening with the file. Don't
just sit but keep pushing them diplomatically.

You can write to this email id CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca for your enquiry as I
wrote to them on this email and they replied to me in one week's time.

I also got my CSQ in April '14 and sent to Federal in July '14 - My agent also has not heard from them and still waiting for the file no. - it's been exactly 6 months for me too. So I guess it is taking longer now.

My case was sent to CIO in Hong Kong.

Hi HKBEAN,

Suggest that you push your lawyer to send mail to CIO to find out the status
of your file.

As advise in other query that unless you push your lawyer they will not get
any response from CIO.

Hi Viz, my application was sent to Federal in Jul 2014 but my credit card payment for the fee actually got charged in Oct 2014, so I guess that was the time it actually got picked up (before that it was probably just lying in a queue). My lawyer did once send an inquiry (before the credit card got charged) and at that time they said they had received my application. Maybe I'll tell them to try again.

I saw from previous threads that you started your application in Oct 2010 and got your file no. in April 2013 - so since then have you received request to do medicals ???

I applied in Aug 2011, my interview was in Mar 2014, then got CSQ and submitted to Federal in July 2014. Now 6 months passed but waiting for the File no. (but 3 months passed since the payment was charged).

I saw from one of the previous contributors (LEO) posts, who you were communicating with that from the time he sent application to Federal to receiving his visa it took 1 year 4 months.

I wonder if it will take the same for us or more ?????

It took me 7 years to finally get COPR... so, I guess patience is the key.

Usually, you will not get response from VO if you are still under processing time phase.
