Hello

If you and your spouse both clear DELF A1 & A2 Level than you will get points which are as follow:

DELF A1 & A2 (PRINCIPAL APPLICANT) : 6 POINTS

DELF A1 & A2 (DEPENDANT SPOUNSE) : 2 POINTS

If you and your spouse make it clear latest by this June 2012 this both level than you should have more 8 points on board and you will reach at total points of 59 (51 Points as per details given in last blogs) and with this calculation you are call for an interview where you have an opportunities to earn 6 points for adaptablities to reach at threshold final total 63 Points which is very easy if you and your spouse have good knowledge about French because this interview taken in french language only and its mandatory for all so be prepare for French as well

I Suggest you to pass DELF Level as many as you can and attend the classes as many as you can because there are Interview taken for sure for all candidate and that should be in French only so its better for you to start taking classes from right onwards which make you feel confirtable to make conversation in french with the immigration officer.

Also is there a way I can attend these 2 courses concurrently from a "grasping the language perspective"? (assuming my schedule with AF works out)...what I mean is that doing the courses in the A1.1 > A1.2 order necessary OR can I do them both concurrently?

hi kittylona,

you cant do part 1 & 2 of A1 simultaneously. part 2 is a continuation of part 1 hence part 2 wont make sense to you. for getting a hang of the language, its best to go in for the daily classes (2hrs daily, Mon-Fri) then you finish in 2 months. the weekend courses take 3 months for each part.

start start watching french movies with eng subtitles first and french subtitles later) listen to french music & radio... all this will help greatly.

all the best ! :)

Thanks for your replies guys.

According to this information given For ielts:

Listening speaking
8.0 - 9.0 7.0 - 9.0 3 points
5.0 - 7.5 5.0 - 6.5 2 points

I have 8.5 in Listening and 6.5 in speaking so will it give me 5 points ? or 4 as my overall score is 6.5 only ?

Currently I am standing on 50 points with out claiming the French points and now I am planning to apply for Food and service diploma from IGNOU (Open school) under distance leaning method. Hi Yogie,

Wish you and all members of this blog A very Happy new year.- Thanks and wish you too a very happy and delightful new year !!!

I need an information on below.

If I do a diploma course from Distance learning method will it give me any benefit as far as points are concerned and as valid training under training factor- No, However I am not sure but as per my knowledge the Distance Learning course will not get you any points,Only full time courses is entitled for points.Currently I am standing on 50 points with out claiming the French points and now I am planning to apply for Food and service diploma from IGNOU (Open school) under distance leaning method. Or else suggest me the best option.- There is one option is that you complete DELF A2 and your spouse complete DELF A1(Min. Listening score must be 16/25 and Speaking 16/25) so that you will get 6 points and your spouse will get 2 points (total 6+2=8 points). But please be noted here that your IELTS score(List.- 7 and Speaking- 7.5) will now get you only 5 points instead of full 6 points as per the new Rules. Also if you will cross 35 years of your age before you place your application then again you will loose 2 more points (i.e. you will get 14 points instead of 16 points). So keep all these things in mind and plan accordingly. Bonne Chanse !!!
Best regards,

Yogie
