My daughter did
15/10 Applied Bishop's with High school grades June 2019, on gap year.
15/2 CAQ applied and only that late beause of Bishop's being slow and reassuring my daughter she is one of the first to apply so got her letter of acceptance only beginning 2/20.
22/5 CAQ approved - usually takes 4 weeks, instead took 13 weeks, other Bishop's students reported similar wait times in that period, now back to 4 weeks.
22/5 study permit applied - London IRCC
17/6 biometrics completed
11.5 weeks wait so far. 3 webforms since in last 8 weeks, none received a response.
Paid residence, have to pay fees soon.
21/8 to pull out of residence without losing a lot of money.
19 and 10/8 dates new international students have been asked ideally to arrive, free transport from Montreal airport to residence room. So far zero new international students have had their study permits approved and of course unless we arrive via USA, we still cannot enter even with an approved study permit.
9/9 Classes start.
15/9 Last practical day to arrive.
Quarantine is already in place in a residence dorm which will only be used for quarantine.
Food delivery to the quarantine rooms 3 times a day.
Bishop's campus is opening in full, with hybrid degrees. My daughter can only do 3/5 online, 2/5 is obligatory and also in person, so it's critical she gets her study permit and is able to travel by 15/9 latest, or her scholarship is gone and she simply cannot start her degree.
