Quebec CSQ Applicants in the USA

I received my first AOR today! It is dated 28 September 2011 They mispelled my last name though! (by one letter, they used one "L" instead of two).

Timeline
Documents sent: August 11, 2011
Received at MICC: Unknown, estimate August 17-18, 2011 (sent via US mail)
Credit card charged: September 19, 2011
AOR dated: 28 September 2011
Received first AOR: 4 October, 2011

Hopefully more good news to come in the future!

Yours went a lot faster than mine... I waited three months before I saw a CC charge or an AOR! Good luck!

I am a bit confused with CSQ process...Can anyone explain please???


I am seeing that : CSQ office is in Montreal and

Visa office is Buffalo,NY

Both require supporting documentation adn have seperate individual forms.....

Shall I send first to Montreal and wait to get CSQ and then after having selection

dispatch the second packet??

Please advise.....

Yes, you must wait. You cannot apply to the Federal government until you have received your CSQ.

If they cash the check sent with CSQ application does that mean that you are in line for selection (with or without interview)? Anybody know of a case where the check was cashed and the application was rejected (without even an interview)? Thanks.

My credit card was just charged this past week and I think it would imply that processing of the file has begun. Does not really mean you are in line for selection. They can still reject you after doing a thorough research on ur file and I believe the money is returned if we are rejected.

Yes, very much! You should have a valid visa status to apply, if not then it is better to apply from your home country.

I sent my application on sept 10 and my credit card got charged on oct 10, but no AOR received as yet. Hopefully, it is on the way 8)

There is 'no' fixed answer to this. If the applicant's job area is in quebec's priority occupation list then the interview may happen pretty soon. Some applicants are well above the required threshold of points and interview is waived.
However usually an interview invitation takes 6-8 months.

I would like to know how to get NOMINATION. Lets say Pharmacist professional in India applied to Hong Kong office. How do I get info of Nomination????
