Yes, I mailed the application in October 2010. Credit card charged and AOR received in January 2011. I got an official invitation to an interview in December 2011.

Yes, you must wait. You cannot apply to the Federal government until you have received your CSQ.

I wish I could report some news here on my end, but still nothing! I've been good about updating Immigration Québec regarding my current life situations, for example returning to school and new internships. The website shows they are processing complete files from May 2010... hurry up!! ;)...

Wowwwww... I was expecting to get an interview and CSQ 1 year after I mailed my application, but I guess it makes sense that it would happen 1 year after AOR which would be January-ish 2012 for me!

Still waiting for more news, although I know I'm being a little impatient. My application was received on October 12, 2010 and I got my AOR letter dated Jan. 8th, 2011. Nothing since! Just have to be patient I guess!

Just thought I'd share; they have finally charged my credit card the other day! While I'm visiting Quebec nevertheless. Let's just say they must have known about my application when I crossed the border as they gave me a very hard time. Anyway I'm very excited about it. Expecting my AOR soon!
