My family want to thank all our seniors "quebec2011,stillhope,egrace,donsoft,solokru,wings for starting this thread and the rest of the gang" who one way or another help, encourage us in this journey of obtaining our quebec dream. We are very happy to share that we finally have our csq just this morning. :D ;D

We were schedule for 9am but arrived 1hr early and 15 mins before 9 they already called us in.... Our IO was middle aged lady who was quite nice and she asked if we want the interview in french or english then my hubby who is the principal applicant answered lets try french then she started asking us in french but for some reason our mind was not working with us........ ??? guess out of 15 questions we only answered three........ during that stage we can see and feel that she was not impressed then she switch to english all the way. She asked about the common values of quebec and if we really want to settle in quebec guess she had an impression that we are not staying there as my husband has lots of uncles and his sister is in alberta that we may not stay long and moved to another province, we told her honestly that we already invested a lot and the satisfaction is far greater if we succeed on our own then she asked about our work and show all the documents then she said shes done with the interview and to give her a few minutes to calculate our points..... It seems like eternity then she finally she told us that we passed and we need to improve our french and shes hoping that we will stay in quebec as its a wonderful place and share some info about quebec and wish us luck.

And that was it......

@ quebec2011 dont worry buddy your time will come as we've meet one guy..... He was a receptionist in a hotel china and he was also called for interview so just relax and you'll be next. :D

CONGRATULATIONS DEAR A,

GOOD LUCK IN THE FEDERAL PROCESS NOW.

hello every one

can anyone tell me what is the processing time of QSW, how much time it will take to get the visa after all mandatory checks ? to get CSW and then apply for visa , it is more then 2 years ???

Like first of all you apply for QSW and they send you CSW which takes more then 1 year to come back & then after then you apply for visa which also takes more then a year to come back from Embassy ?

regards

Umer

hello everyone,

Can you still apply if you have zero experience in your field of study? i score 51 points with zero experience but i have a 4 months period of internships however i don't think that would be helpful since it's below 6 months right?

Thank you Quebec2011 for your reply. No, I am not liking the idea of having my wife as the principal applicant and taking her and our 2 year old to Quebec, jobless and then hunt for something there. I would rather go there alone and call them over in 6-12 months, no sooner.

Coming back to me as the principal applicant, do I stand a chance if my wife learns basic A1 level French? 55 points below if I have got the calculations correct.

B.Sc. 2001 India - 6 points
9 years working - 8 points
31 years - 16 points
French (confident of clearing DELF A2 in 8 months time) - 3+3 points
English (Advanced) - 3+3 points
Financial self sufficiency - 1 point
Spouse Education: MCA (2002) - 3 points
Spouse Age (30) - 3 points
Spouse French - Basic - 1+1 points
Child - 4 points

I ask again, is this the end of the road then, am I calculating it correctly? Suggestions and advice will be heartily welcome...?

Regards,

Re: QUEBEC APPLICANTS fees information

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding fees payment. I am residing in Ireland and I have to send all the documents to Paris, France. For my application, I will be using IMM0008 application form. Regarding the fees for application, in one place, they have given it as 490 CAD and in other place, i have found it as 395 CAD. Which one should i follow??

I appreciate your replies...

Thanks

smilearchitect,

dentists are on the priority list i think, so its likely that ur application will be processed quicker.

by reply you mean an acknowledgement ? 30 days is the normal time to get it.
