Bonjour Mes amis

I am Mazhar, this is my first time entry to this forum. I have applied for Quebec Immigration from Abu Dhabi. Application submitted from Abu Dhabi and was sent to Syria. I have only got application number. following is my application detials. In my application i mentioned i know zero french, then later i did a basic level-1 french course and result sent to syria.
can any body advise me will this be fine as i can speak up to upper basic level now. There is long wait and no reply from quebec, as applications till JUL 2010 have been processed, but for Aug there is no reply and website says consult for next update. Is this delay due to syria unrest?
I would really appreciate any update or advise.

Application Submitted: 12-Aug-2010
File Number received : 05-Sep-2010

regards

Mazhar

Re: (No subject)

@ Regineong36,yeah i was on priority cos i applied as an Industrial -chemist.but being on priority is nt synonymous with being waived for interview cos priority treatment isn't a pre-requisite to getting an interview waiver.for to get a waiver, one must av d score requirement 55pts for single applicants and 63pts for married (these scores must av bn attain without considering point 4rm d Adaptability factor) as well as submitting an admissible french result.satisfying d score rquirement without french proof ll stil lead to interview.d two must b met at same time. being on PRIORITY-LIST only guarantees that once file is expressly treated

My friend I think you are not aware of the situation that BIQ damascus has gone through. The entire QSW applications have been transferred to Montreal office and now they are processing it there.

For more information contact this thread :

Good luck

THERE IS SCHEDULE OF SELECTION MISSIONS FOR SKILLED WORKERS
IN AUGUST,BUT I LIVE IN UKRAINE I DONT HAVE ANY INTERVEW CALL?

Re: (No subject)

@ MAHSAE, did u submit a copy of d invitatn sent by BIQ? If yes,did u submit a certified translatn in English in case d person dosen't understand french? Is it that u av applied for d max 90days for an interview that even 7days is more than sufficient for.applying for excessive days than required will only create an impressn that u truely wil not leave. Also b4 u file an appeal,do an e-mail to ur BIQ using URGENT as subject first thing monday morning if u already haven't.seeing france & quebec av very strong ties so they shld b able to help provided d problem isn't 4rm u . It's unlikely they ll reschedule ur interview for London cos of d cost implication.if it were cheaper for them in London they wouldn't av invited u to france in d first place.but if d number of applicants 4rm d UK increases consedrably b4 d next batch of interview, they may consider sending staffs over to london to conduct d interview.so dont suggest to them that u shld b scheduled for london unless u are prepared for d long wait.only seek their assistance and don't tell them what to do.PEACE

Well with that amount of time left on your visa they should not deny you a visa, it's usually a problem if you've got less than 2 months left on your UK residency, a situation am likely to find myself in.
Anyway try appealing and provide proof of your appointment and proof of your intention to return to the UK.

Best of luck

To all my fellow UK based Quebec applicants....... Shahi, mashae et al

lets get in touch, lets network, would be nice if we all got talking whilst we are still on this side of the pond

Hello there,
Are you applying from the UK,I've send my application since march but still waiting for AOR ,hope they got my application still waiting though....

And how did you send it? if you sent it by registered guaranteed [and track-able] delivery you would be to track it all the way upto the final destination, that way you know its arrived as the recipients would've to signed for it upon receipt.

It would then be a question of how efficient the staff are, and the back log of files they are dealing with. But having said that applications can still go missing [read misplaced] from within the BIQ offices so........

Were abouts in the UK are you btw

Thanks for the reply dude.am in London.Well I did track it,it was well delivered in Paris,I've phoned Paris couple of days ago, they say they have backlog ,they are dealing with the application send end of feb right now, fingers cross. What's your AOT and you French score.
Cheers
