hello Am going! going!,

as for me TEFAQ is easier and may end you up with better results...with TEFAQ i was exempted from an interview...
the test is about the easy french language that you may use daily to achieve your day requirements...
anyway, it's your decision...and you're free to choose :)

regards,
AnthonY

Merci beaucop Anthony, will take head. Are their any online resources tailored to TEFAQ that you know off?

there is a TEFaq its a TEF made for quebec it's kinda easier its just reading and listening as far as i know.. :)
Yea, the TEFAQ is much shorter than the regular TEF. However, the results are sent directly to immigration. If you score badly, that's not such a great thing. With the TEF, you can look at your results before sending them off, because they come directly to you.

I've heard the TEF is easier than the DELF, at least at the more advanced levels. Not sure though.

I did the TEF, and did pretty well (high Int in Oral and Grammar, Advanced in Listening and Reading), but I've been studying for a while. I thought the test was Exhausting though - it took 3.5 hours, and that really affected me, especially for the Oral part. I looked at some DELF High Int stuff online and thought it looked difficult.

Oh, and everyone, I got an interview date for June 9th! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!

Dear Experts! need help urgently!!!

Appreciate helping me in my case... I am working and living in UAE. I need to know how strog my case is and what to impove before submitting my application for Quebec SW

My information is as below:

I am married and expecting my first baby in 2 months.
I have a bachelor degree in Computer and Information Systems from University of Aleppo (Syria) graduated in 2008, and my wife has a Diploma (2 years) in commerce and a university degree in commerce (3 years) graduated in 2007
I have 9 years of experience in study related filed 3 of which in the UAE as Senior IT System & Infrastructure Support/Developer At a multinational company
My wife has 9 years of experience in study related field (Accountant), 3 of which as Income Auditor (Syria).
We both have several training courses/certificates in our respective professions.
We are currently living in UAE.
My French oral comprehension and oral expression is minimal while my English is advanced in both. My wife doesn't know French and her English is intermediate.
We do not have an immediate family member in Canada. I only have my cousin in Montréal.
We did not have the chance to go to Canada earlier.

the one million dollar questions are:

1- I have a bachelor degree in Computer and Information Systems (MIS) from University of Aleppo (Open/Distance learning). Would they give my full points for this? In which category my training falls? Is it under: Undergraduate diploma of university studies - 3, 4 or 5 years (in Québec, the diploma is obtained after completing 16 to 18 years of full-time education)

2- I start to work as a developer and instructor for IT courses since 2002, however, I was studying at the university at the same time; would they consider the years of my work experience during studying years?

Thank you very much in advance for answering my questions.

I am married and expecting my first baby in 2 months. since ur baby will b included in ur applicatn, better u wait till its arrival b4 u apply so that necessary documentation for ur baby can also accompany ur application. but u can begin the documentation for yourself and spouse now

Is it under: Undergraduate diploma of university studies - 3, 4 or 5 years (in Québec, the diploma is obtained after completing 16 to 18 years of full-time education) yes the categorization is correct

2- I start to work as a developer and instructor for IT courses since 2002, however, I was studying at the university at the same time; would they consider the years of my work experience during studying years? well it will depend on the number of hours u spend on the job. full time jobs requires at least 40hrs per week anything short will b regarded as parttime A part-time job for 1yrs will b regarded as 6months, a 2yrs part-time job will be graded as 1yr e.tc.

Thank you very much in advance for answering my questions.

Dear egrace62
Thank you very much!! Ofcourse i can show my certificate and transcript! But how can you be that sure that they will give me points? Have you experienced similar issue?

For working and studing togrther, will it damage my picture if i showed full time working certificate during my part study time? Or it is better to show a part time job certificate? Actually, i was working full time, so i can ask my old employer to give part time or full time certificate. I just need to know which one looks logical?

Also, what to include in this certificate of service? Zny hints pls!

Many thanks

Actually, 30 hours a week is already considered full-time, according to the lengthy Guides de Procedures d'Immigration pour le Quebec.

Re: (No subject)

@ Amirjs, no i av not experienced such. But the fact that u stated u av earned a Degree 2ru DL made me sure that u'll b awarded points. So on ur part too, u need to b sure that u av the certificate. Diploma/ degree are clearly assigned point based on d actual years of study in d MICC guides des immigration. (2) studing fultime & working FT @ The same time wil only make them doubt d veracity of ur work / educatn. And if i may ask, is this ur DLP (Distance learning program) ur first degree or a masters program?
