@shooting star,

There will be a checklist for the corresponding BIQ office.

1.) Two seperate applications, one for you as a primary applicant and the second one for your spouse.

2.) There is a page 6 where you and your spouse sign for declaration, YOu need to send also two seperate signed forms, though it is going to be same.

I got a letter from BIQ honk kong to send me one for your my spouse.

Hi,

I am IT professional having 5+ years experience in software field.
I wanted to apply for PR under federal skilled worker class. one of the consultants suggested that since IT professional occupation is not listed in 38 Canadian Govt occupations list, I can not apply for the same.
If I want to apply for PR, I have to apply under Quabac skilled worker only. Is this true? Pls help me out.

I gathered all required documents including six month bank balance certificate and police certificate. I am in a final stage to apply for PR. Please guide me on this.

2) I am planning to apply on my own. Is this a good idea? OR Shall I go ahead with one of the certified consultants? Please suggest.

Before applying for Quebec you will have to evaluate your chance of being selected.. So go through this website and evaluate your chances and if its positive go forward

I don't think the visa copies need to be notarized( I HOPE U GUYS( SHOOTINGSTAR & RACH_D ARE NOT MISTAKING PASSPORT FOR VISA!!!!!!. nOTE all photocopied document MUST BE NOTARIZED but your educational docuemnts have to be notarized unless you are sending your original transcript in selaed envelope. In that case, that's an orignal document and so you would not need notarization. yeah, notarizing an original document is tantamount to rendering it invalid

@ shootingstar, (1) No, what i mean is that both of u wil fill a form each i.e two forms then both of u wil fill the spousal declaration for each other. Bcos, the educatn, language skills etc of Spouses too will need b assessed all of which are not captured on d spousal declaratn form. (2) yeah, only transcript is enough . (3) well. U will need provide documentatn for all d jobs u wish to acknowledge in ur form.
ok, perfect. Got it now. THANKS :)

oh, so we need to notarize visa copies also(if we r residing outside our country of citizenship) ? I thought we only need to notarize educational documents, This is what I got from website http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/biq/new-york/dcs-workers/list-documents.html and nothing was mentioned about visa copies. Anyway, I think it is better tonotarize the copies, otherwise it might delay our application.

RACH_D, Please note : It is better we notarize our visa copies too.

Shootingstar,

All the visas ( including all extensions) from the date u come first time in usa to till date living in usa.

Congratulations Stillhope, at least you know now that the treatment of your application is on course. About the NOC code I guess you wont get that until your application has been treated as they will only be able to know which NOC you belong when they review your documents. I didn't even get an AOR before the Invitation for Selection Interview came.
Bonne chance.....
