@Plncmy
I think you are very correct thats what it is. I called the MICC agent today and asked my points and they told me that I can only be told my points after I submit proof of graduation!!! he said my points will only be calculated after sending the required docs. hmm...

@chibiks,
You will get it after you apply. so don't worry. once you complete your graduation.. you will get it.

I am using French In Action - Capretz Method. Its tough though and requires discipline; for best results use it with a friend who is franco-phone who can act as your guide.

But if you have the money, enroll in Alliance Francaise and then supplement with French In Action.

How do they put points on experience?
Should it be related to your degree?
Like I'm a management accounting major graduated 10 years but my occupation is a marketing specialist

Should it be related to your degree? No it dosent have to be related to ur degree. there is a provision from MICC guideline that allows for such . just that the experience must av been garnered from a skill level that is above D on the NOC classification

Hi egrace62 and other seniors

I have a query regarding my papers. My french level is 0 and when i applied even i mentioned on forms french level 0. do you think it will effect me at initial assement. i know i have to learn french becoz of interview and to servive in quebec. my question is i hope they will not reject me on that issue. probably it could be the reason i didnt get my AOR up till now... plz put some light on it.

Mansoor

Unfortunately might be the reason, although its just my opinion.

Also my opinion is that if you can say in French: good morning, good night, my name is...., I am.... years old etc you're already 1 point.

I would have at least put 1 on my application if I were you coz you can learn these expressions in an hour.

I keep saying French is not maybe the only factor but one of the most important factors in getting CSQ.

Mansoor,

The first AOR is your right and your french level will not determine when you get your AOR..so rest assured its only because of slow embassy!!...

However, Once you get your file no(AOR), the further processing will definately be influenced by your french level, so try to learn french.!!..Good Luck
