Finally 10 days after getting my CSQ I sent my federal application.

Please pray for me!

Great!

I'm still waiting for police clearance certificate... It will (maybe) be finished on 21.04. (I have requested it in a police station on 06.04...). To slow God damn it! I think that my country (Serbia) have the most slowest administration in the whole world...

Best wishes, hope to see you soon. :)

@ sahi,egrace and everyone

Im planning to submit my application the earliest possible time because i believe the QSW program might change anytime. i dont have yet my ielts nor french language test results. because of this can i now submit my application without this language test results so that my application will be received by the QSW office and therefore avoiding any cut off should they change the policies anytime.coz i believe, in any Canada immigration program, any application received before the cut off date of the change in policies will be processed based on the old or previous policy of the program. can I just make note in my application that I'll be submitting these language test results the soonest possible time as i am still taking the exam this coming month. by then my aplication will be in queue with the other applications and avoiding the cut off or a change in the policies.
thank you very much for your advice.. :)

@joidiple..... I would suggest to take IELTS and attach receipt that your enrolled in a french class before submitting your documents, so that you will have a good chance of not being rejected during the initial assessment of your documents.

seniors is it neccessary to notarise TCFQ Result? A copy of the Result is usually sent to MICC by the examination body... Shahi, iceberg, lirjan, egrace & others kindly comment

Hi guys,
I landed at Toronto international airport on 14th April. Very long journey and very tiring especially with a 3yrs old kid. Arrived at airport around 5.30pm (one hr delay). wet to passport control, then proceeded to the immigration office. There, it took only 5 mins. he just asked us about whether we ever had any probs with the law and then we signed. he gave us our landing papers in 1 min. He asked us whether we have any address in toronto where our PR card can be sent. No question about whether we are settling in quebec or not. Then we went to collect our luggage and proceed to exit. They told us to go but we inquired about the B4 form. Then there, he complimented us for the way we have organised our B4 form (thks to Qorax for tht). very pleasnt experience (less thn 45 mins). now, we will be travelling to gatineau tomorrow. will keep u guys posted.

@joidiple..... Good luck on your IELTS exam and with regards to your French school, try Alliance Francaise de Manille in Nicanor Garcia Makati if your from Manila and also, they have branch in Cebu.

Try to learn French, and I also suggest to take an exam either Delf or Tefaq to solidify your French language points. Furthermore, it will help you a lot for your interview. ;) bonne chance!

@ egrace62

Please need your help with these.

1.) With regards to degrees with major & minor, Guides Des Procedures D'Immigration (Page 23) states:

- Les baccalauréats composés d’une majeure et d’une mineure sont recevables aux fins d’évaluation du critère Domaine de formation. Dans ce cas, c’est la majeure qui détermine le domaine de formation, mais la mineure doit correspondre à un domaine apparenté. Au total, les deux tiers des cours doivent avoir été réalisés dans le domaine visé.

So basically for my degree Electronics & Computer Engineering, I can only claim 6 points for Computer Engineering if two thirds of the course as written on the course transcript is Computer Engineering - egrace is that right? In that case I will request a letter from the University requesting them to advise in writing that component of the course is computer engineering & what component is electronic engineering.

2.) Also if a degree is more than 5 years old but candidate has worked as a teaching assistant or research asistant in the field, he should be awarded point for area of training. I think since my degree is less than 5 years old and i have both been a teaching and research assistant in related field IT, I should put proof of this combined with letter from institution confirming what % is computer engineering & what percentage is electronics engineering - do u think these documents will work to claim area of training 6 points for computer engineering?

@chikbiks.

I learnt from my friends that if you are doing Higher studies in Canada, Education department has requested to delay the processing of the students until they complete the degrees, becoz it affects there revenue of the Universities. Once you are PR your fee is lot lesser than you pay as a foreign student. I cannot verify this , however it could be one of the reason.. You can also esquire this out there.

@Shazad...i m very happy to hear about your experience!!... hopefully u ll post ur experiences abt Quebec too soon!! Good luck!!

Dear friends..

I apologize for I'm not able to reply in time; my schedule is a bit confused for now.

But of course there are many expert members who always reply to everyone in time & in better details than I would ever do.
Thanks.

My preparation is a bit in halt for now.
After Easter I will have to get some additional documents.
Then I will rain the thread & all the members with my questions & screams asking for help :P
