CSQ received : 3/18/2011

Hi guys, I received my AOR last 4/5/2011 and they ask me to pay RPRF and they ask for additional documents like Diploma,TOR and Employment Cert. I submit it all last 4/6/2011.

Question : 1. Will the embassy after evaluation give back my school documents? and why do they have to ask for those documents?
2. How do they send Medical Request, is it through email or post mail, and usually how long because I check CIC and estimation months is blank for my country?

Hope you can answer my questions... thanks.
First time I am seeing something like that!!! After getting CSQ the federal can also ask for employment certificates, diplomas etc??? WOW! I've never seen something like that but I guess it's possible. Just wonder why they asked you for that?

Wow, Saga, congrats! That may be record speed on this forum. Where are you planning to settle? ;D

Hi guys, I received my AOR last 4/5/2011 and they ask me to pay RPRF and they ask for additional documents like Diploma,TOR and Employment Cert. I submit it all last 4/6/2011.

Question : 1. Will the embassy after evaluation give back my school documents? yeah, they sure will. were u asked to submit original copies? if original copy, then use a pre-paid return courier to send them so as to ensure the safety of those important docs but if they did not request for originals, tthen send them notorized copies and why do they have to ask for those documents? this is usually at the instint of the reviewing officer, just to double check. so if what u wrote down yl applying for csq itallies withy what u av written in ur federal, then there really is no need for worries
2. How do they send Medical Request, is it through email or post mail, it comes either by e-mail and post-mail or postmail only. but never by e-mail only. cos DMP only accepts original letter from VO before administering medical tests.and usually how long because I check CIC and estimation months is blank for my country? the time varies from VO to Vo depending on the nos of application.it took Shahio just 1months to get MR, while me i av waited more than 4months and still no MR. yours might also come fast. just dont delay sending those docs they requested to them.cos until u do, processing on ur file will b halted

Hope you can answer my questions... thanks.

@egrace62 ......Thank you so much for that information... I already submitted all my original documents that they asked, hopefully MR will be fast. I hope you also get your MR these coming days.

Whew! It's really hard to wait, but for sure it's worth it.

Thanks again.

@marylatt,

My current plans is to settle in Montreal as I have family and friends there. But at the end of the day all depends on where I can land myself a job, and that my friend is the big ambiguity right now.

Cheers

hello Phunmi

yes your area of training (Chemistry) is in priority list and you will get your aor atleast with in one month . I have also degree in chemistry but i dont have experience in chemisty related job so i applied on the basis of buissness mangement which is not in priority list. i send my docs in dec 2010 and paid by credit card and they charged my credit card this week (after almost 4 months) so i hope i will get my aor very soon.

And i am sure you will not wait as long as me for your aor.

good luck

Hello Iceberg!!...

Well prep i have not started to be honest!!...first things first...can someone tell me where to look for apartemnts etc online..like reliable sites...that would be very helpful...which area to look for??

Shahi

Hello Shahi,

Sorry for being late in replying to you.
Of course www.louer.ca , www.kijiji.ca , www.logementquebec.com & www.logisquebec.com will provide you with plenty of choices.

Normally the rates in Montreal are a bit higher than those in Quebec City, Gatineau or Laval.
But of course you'll have to settle near the city center to facilitate finalizing your docs/job search.

Montreal Metro & the STM buses services (or RTC in Quebec City) are very convenient & affordable. That of Outaouais/Gatineau STO is really good as well.
When using Montreal Metro be careful about the intersection of diff. lines.

Good luck Shahi :)
