@ dided,

In couple of years the rules and laws might change because every 4 years they are modifying their immigration laws, so you would better apply now or before end of this year in order to avoid loosing this golden opportunity.

For interview A2 Level french is enough .

good luck

well the problem is i'm still in college so i don't have my Bachelor's yet so most probably i wont get the education points i mean they will only take me as a high school grad. am i right?

STILLHOPE,

Dear All,

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that my PPR has been issued and my passport will be sent to Abu Dhabi for collation. As you all know this is the official approval.

My road has not been long, very fast to be honest, I was not expecting it before 2 years yet it came after only 5 months.

I wish you all the same

Cheers

Since Wingsof... Has stayed/staying in quebec, his/her Opinion in this rgad expecially transport wil b useful.ur apartmnt need b close to transport network so dat u wont endup spendin heavily on transport. Its one thing to get an apartment its another gettin to work

Hi Saga,

First of all, congratulations :)

How come you count it as 5 month while you starts in SEP 2009 ?
Also, what is area of experience? How did you get the interview waived. Did you submit some documents showing your French abilities? what did you do exactly. Please elaborate more.

Thanks and congratulations,
-Khaled

Re: (No subject)

@ saga, congrats. I guess it's preparatn!!! Preparatn!!! Preparatn!!! Now. Savour the joy of ur victory

@KAMMAR,

I received my CSQ in just 3 months, but I kept my application in the drawer for 9 months afterward (September 2010).
My federal was applied for in Sep 2010 and from that date it was approximately 5 months.
My area of experience is management consultancy and I am a native French speaker. I also have fluency in English, Arabic and Spanish.

@egrace
Yep it is definitely preparations now. I was not expecting that quick of a reply. I have filed a for a Canadian visit visa a week ago to go and visit family. So now I am in the process of chasing the embassy to stop its processing and stamp the permanent residency instead. I will be doing my landing in May

Cheers

Re: (No subject)

@ saga, safe trip buddy. We sure join u guys there soonest

@saga,

congratulations wish you a great life in Quebec.

Shahi,

Like egrace said kijiji.ca is the best bet for looking for a place to stay/live.

Depending on your budget you can either rent a furnished room or bachelor online. Be prepared to pay first and last on the spot.

Metro in Montreal is the best trasportation system in the world, in my opinion. It can get you anywhere in Montreal.

Upon arrival you need to obtain OPUS card and buy a weekly or monthly pass for unlimited usage.

For work use craigslist.org thats where I found my job. Also in the beginning be prepared to work in a call center although your French is excellent so you may find something better.

Most of the jobs are French/English.

Re: (No subject)

@ wings, does some with good english but poor french stand any chance 2wrk in call centre?

CSQ received : 3/18/2011

Hi guys, I received my AOR last 4/5/2011 and they ask me to pay RPRF and they ask for additional documents like Diploma,TOR and Employment Cert. I submit it all last 4/6/2011.

Question : 1. Will the embassy after evaluation give back my school documents? and why do they have to ask for those documents?
2. How do they send Medical Request, is it through email or post mail, and usually how long because I check CIC and estimation months is blank for my country?

Hope you can answer my questions... thanks.

i have just confirmed that my file was delivered 9am 2day at BIQ Paris. i guess the real waiting now starts? anxiety,anxiety :o
