Hi

I understand what you want to say....

You mean, after getting CSQ and submitting complete application package to CIC. It takes 3 months to process all the documents and after 3 months, CIC will send medical request and

after receiving medical report by CIC, CIC will ask for Passport request and Landing Fees to issue permanent visa.

I think, It takes about 4 to 6 months......Am I right?

Hi Carib girl and Lirjan..

I have seen ppl with A1..and that too avg marks in A1 getting CSQ...

AS Lirjan correctly said..it depends on the individual case.... and as you correctly said..its just not french..it is a combination of a lot factors...

What i have heard on this forum...n others... If you get Interview call..it is a very positive thing..as 70% of your file is cleared..n touch wood...i have always heard positive news from all after ht e intefview...So fingers crossed Good luck to all of us!!..

Tk cr

Shahi I would have to disagree slightly... I do know of a few people who do not have French as their mother tongue, but were able to prove an intermediate level of French. They were waived of the interview. They probably also were able to secure at least 55 pts (for single applicants) or 63??(for couples)
i want to clarify somthing if your area of training is under priority list and you submitted documents of language (DELF A2)the you could be interview waiverqsw

Hey Angel

Well i would still say do first level with AF and then switch to individual...starting alonne can be difficult and de-motivating..

but if your time constraints are too much then well you should buy AF books...or enquire about online sites...you just need a start..once done with start then you can do on your own...

Start with it immediately..any prob u have..then me and other members are there...Iceberg has very good command over the language..Kia is also i think starter like me..

So best of luck.. and dont worry if you have any problem..!!

Hello Shahi,

Glad to hear from you. Congratulation for your interview.

I have an interview on 2nd February 2011.

Yes, I am also totally surprised with the decision of quebec embassy people. Today also one person got direct CSQ. He has done upto A2 and his wife has done nothing in french. Anyway hope for the best. I should say we have to work hard to get CSQ.

Cheers,
Bhavikna

Hi guys,

I'm trying to figure out my scores for the training criterion but am a bit confused.

I have a Master's degree (from the US) , a Bachelor's from Canada (which according to this site: immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/requirements-programs/glossary.html#training) means it counts as a Quebec diploma, and I am under section D of the areas of training. According to the CanadaVisa site, up to 28 points are awarded, the subcategories being 1) Level of Education (where I get 12), 2) Quebec diploma and 3) Area of Training. Now, if you add up the max for each category, you get 34 pts, not 28. Does that mean that if you get more than 28, you remain at 28, or are subcategories 2 and 3 considered one category?

I'll paste the link to the chart here so you can get an idea of what I mean. Thanks so much for any clarification.
