3 months since AOR no response from Quebec govt. I was expecting french exam invite, interview invite or straight csq but nothing. should i phone them?

Yes you can phone them or you can take a look at the processing times at the Quebec Immigration website for your country or area. I also know that the comparative evaluation of studies outside Quebec from MICC costs around $105.

hello Boom,

1. It depends on the country where you are legally a resident. Check this link for the processing times in HK. http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/immigration-application/processing-times-table.html

2. French is required in Quebec and knowledge in English would be an asset. It would be very helpful to know the language before landing in Quebec. A French language certification would definitely help in speeding up your application as stated in the Quebec Immigration website.

3. There is no minimum level of French required but it would definitely be of great help if you are trying to score points for your immigration application in Quebec to know and speak French and English as fluently as possible. I myself wouldn't pass a French certificate since I speak almost no French. I will submit my IELTS and TOEFL scores though to certify my profiiency in English.

4. Providing a certificate for French language would not automatically exempt you from being interviewed in HK (or in any other offices). Garnering enough points for your qualifications listed in the application would enable you to skip the interview process and getting a CSQ.

Try to read most of the posts in this thread. I'm pretty sure it'll help you a lot in understanding your options in applying as an immigrant in Quebec.

confused about my profession

Hi guys! I really need an advice from you.
I'm planning to apply for Quebec but i'm confused about my profession. I have a BA in Bilingual Letters but i worked only as a hotel receptionist. Then i studied a Quality Assurance course but never worked in it. Finally i decided to become a nurse and now i'm a pre-nursing student. What profession should i state in my application?

I have just arrived from Damascus - 30 minutes ago -, thought first thing to do is to let you all know that <<<<<<<<<<<<I GOT IT>>>>>>>>>>>>>

After 10 months of stress and follow up, i received my Selection Certificate of Quebec Skilled Worker yesterday during the interview held at the Canadian Embassy in Damascus.

All what you need to know about interview, i promise to write more tomorrow.... I am so tired and want to take shower and have a sleep.
