It is not 3 years just federal it depends on the VO for example Ottawa is 20 months which is less than 2 years, some people really need to read or investigate before they start throwing rumors like "I heard it increased from 1 to 3 years because of express entry" which is not true, another example is Mexico VO, since a year ago until today it is still 16 months it hasn't change.

Yes. Exactly. Which is why I provided the link to processing times by VO. From CIC. Rather than a vague "I heard that ... Etc".

My friend applied under fsw last year and got her visa after 9 months. For the csq applicants, it will take lots of time before we can even submit for the federal part. Hayyy

Oooh, this is interesting! BUT, it does not say that the intake period will open at October 1, 2015. It only says that the tool will be available at that date... So still no clarity with the opening announcement of the intake I guess?

Another update is that the English page was reverted to the April 8 version where the announcement only says "the intake period will be announced at a later date**" different from the French page that says "ATTENTION : la période de reception sera annoncée au cours de l'année 2015-2016**"

From what I understood, it means that the online tool will be ready any time between now and October 1st. They will be announcing the intake period soon and it will probably be whenever the online tool is ready. However I'm curious to know how the process will be; is it just application online but the supporting documents are sent by mail or will everything be submitted online maybe as scans? I guess we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully this process will make things smoother and faster for everyone.

Yes, it says that the tool will be starting October 1st, but nothing 100% certain about intake period it may happen before or after that, we will need to wait for official news, I got some friends who applied on 2013 and are getting interviews on this May or June I guess finally things are moving for backlog applications, also some friends who applied on 2014 got asked for more documentation via (intention de rejet) so let's hope this new system will be fast and soon

I have applied for QSW in May 2014 and received file number on Aug 2014.
I have not received any communication from immigration yet.
My challenge is that I do not know french and I want to go for employment validation letter as I am currently working in Quebec on work permit.

Could anyone of you please help me the process of getting this letter? Could one of you please share sample filled letter , I would really appreciate please?

Also from previous thread I understand there is one PDF file in french that has to be filled, but is there any additional documentation to PDF that is required to be submitted along with PDF? Please help ....
