it sounds like that and i think i was thinking that way too. because during before we havd 64 points and these new 2015 AOT we'll only have 60 points. i had a big grin on my face hearing this news. have you called MIDI to ask what was your status? hopefully we can hear a good news after 3 months due to the fact that our application was on Preliminary Review as of now. right? :o

We are applying from Philippines, and the verification time is 28 months... but I doubt our file's under preliminary review now. We know another friend who applied months earlier than us, and she hasn't heard anything yet.

I guess they are still sort of processing 3012 on priority, which explains why your application is processed in a fast way. :) Good luck with everything, hope you hear from them soon, update us here!

Hi Everyone!

Got an email the other day and it was an intent to refuse letter. They gave 0 points for my AOT which i really don't understand. I finished Bachelor of Science in Business Management and got 4 points for my Education. I need to get at least B2 level in french but they only gave me 90 days. Anyone here with the same situation?

Thank you

Just wondering does Business Management fall under Bachelor of Science or it is under Bachelor of Commerce? Never mind, asking outta' curiosity.

HI Maryr,

What is your AOT and Education? Is it linked? Also, did you update the docs after they sent a request in december'14? Because, it was said we have only one chance?

I assume, you updated after you received the doc update request in december. Does that mean, again they are giving another 90 days to reply?

What is your level of english adn french?

My degree is Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Business Management. My work experience is mostly Banks, Insurance company and government.
No French exam yet, got a zero on French.

As long as you have enough points (55 single, 63 With spouse) you can even have no French at all and still get CSQ, however to integrate successfully it will be VERY important.

This will definately be a problem if you submit the documents after the specified time. You have 90 days only in which to submit requested documents.

Act fast and best of luck!!

Tks for your reply, will be sending it off tomorrow in time for the deadline! :)

Hi, in order to pass employability threshold you must have 42 points single and 50 as a couple if you have 49 you must get more points could be with French, English. For French oral expression and oral comprehension is 5 points each if you get a b2 let's suppose you only get b2 in one of these 2 abilities, you will get 5 points meaning 54. Do you have kids to get more points? Cuz if not you will get only one more point for financial autonomie that means a total of 55 points you will still be short because you need at least 57 points to get to the interview phase, maybe that's why you may need b2 in both abilities in order to assure 10 points.

Hi mam cherishlady,
I thank you for your enlightenment.
My overall points is 58 and only short of 1 pt in employability. Micc requires me b2. So you mean if i get one with either speaking or listening, i will earn 5 pts.
Empliyability 49+5 = 54
Overall 58+5 = 63

Pls correct me if im wrong.

Thank you very much.

If being rejected is inevitable, will we get ALL docs back???

I am writing a letter to the Revising/Administrative Review now. Should I mention about David Cohen's Court Decision to sue Quebec Government about 'Retroactive' the law?

My AOR is exactly in Feb 2012 (the same moth which they published 'The Application will be assessed as per rules at the time of submission).

Yes for each oral ability in B2 level is equivalent to 5 points so, 49+5=54. But I didn't understand how did you get overall 58+5? Can you detail all your points to see how your punctuation goes?

If you are rejected normally they email you and tell you that they have your documents, so in order to get them back you have to arrange pick up with a courrier like Dhl, ups or fedex if you don't arrange in 10'days they send them to you via regular postal service without having any guarantee or tracking number. Last year I got my documents back because I didn't reach the 6300 caps and it was a nightmare to get them back. First I waited the "10 day period" to get them back but they never send them after 3 months when I thought my document were lost they wrote me again so I arrange with ups and got my file back.

About your letter, I suggest you to contact or hire a consultant about this because to appeal your case or file an administrative review just "mentioning" David Cohen or any successful case may o may not help you because that was another case of somebody else who decided to do what I am suggesting you to do. If you think you are right, appeal.
