guyzzzzzzzzzzz, a really bad news :'(

they refused my application for QSW, now what should i do??????? plesae help.
they said it is refused of 2 reasons:
1. Pas de points au domaine de formation, car la formation ne s'apparante suffisamment a une formation au quebec donnant des points a ce facteur
2. absence of knowledge of french

can somebody please translate first point for me :'(
OMG, This is really bad news. You're training is on the preferred list. Chemistry Bach-3. Why wouldnt they award you ponits for the degree??????????????
I mean I could understand the second reason, no French but the first one???????????????/
How does the appeal process work QSW?
Please everyone comment on this issue.
THEY ARE GETTING STRICTER LIKE FSW.

Request for an administrative review

You may submit a request for an administrative review if you received a negative response for your selection application—the assessment shows that you do not meet the selection criteria—and one of the following situations applies to you:

* An obvious clerical, legal or factual error resulted in a negative decision.
* Facts that existed when the decision was rendered, but were not proven at the time, are presented.

You will then have to justify and support your request for a review, if applicable, with original documents that you have not already submitted. A request for a review must be submitted within a maximum of 90 days following notice of the negative decision.

Send your request for a review to the following address:

Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles
Service de la révision administrative
360, rue McGill, 3e étage
Montréal (Québec) H2Y 2E9
Canada

yes,

@Angel..bro u must appeal and write that how u can be refused if u have the necessary points based on your profession... and one advice bro...if you are really serious..i dont care how..enroll into a french course and send the enrollment receipt....its very imp

@Christo..try and fill the online assessment and see whats the result.

Shahi

angel,

here is what i recommend:
- do a french exam asap to submit with your administrative review as a bonus.
- do a covering letter in french stating that chemistry is definitely on the preferred list, if the university from which it was obtained is top class (top world 500 or top 100) by any ranking, cite this. get description of the courses you took from the university - maybe they were confused by the heading of subjects/ courses in your transcript.
- enclose a resume in french.

send the total package - i am confident you will get a positive response.

Bro i think you definately need an administrative review.

Please get your transcript and do a comparison yourself with the quebec training for chemistry , use the CEHFAQ website to determine the equivalence. According to the rules the immigration officer has to establish the similarity in courses before awarding points.

Regarding French i think you should quickly enrol and sit for a test in few weeks even if you get a low score it still demonstrates seriousness on your part. Even with the area of training point of 12 you would have been on the border line of 48 points . I think one needs to have a buffer zone of 4 points above the minimum .

Do not give up just demonstrate the similarity of the courses (it doesnt have to be Quebec equivalent as it is Chemistry). There is flexibility once you are in the prefferred area of training and discretion could be utilised.

N.B I hope they are not too close to their maximum quota of this year hence been too strict.

Quebec doesnt have quota!!! But if everyone who didnt qualify under new rules for FSW will tart going through Quebec just to get to Canada, they will establish quota soon!!!!!!!!!!! They already got more strict and Angel's case is an unfortunate example of it. :(

hi jayajay...

wts CEHFAQ website.....can u pass d link/............
hav u applied for degree evaluation..........

CEFAHQ is Quebec’s body for evaluation of degrees. Just put it in google and it will come up but Iit is based on country by country so you have to look for you country in the list.

I have not applied for equivalence but I applied to the OIQ for a junior engineers permit. Inshallah if I get that, it will be my proof of equivalence to Quebec’s diploma and hopefully get points from area of training.

My headache now is the French !!
