This type of issue has come up even in local news papers and almost everyone related to immigration ( employers, agencies and lawyers ) are talking about these rules. A very interesting case that I knew from some one in circle is of a Macgill professor with Phd. He is from south American country and very important to university in Montreal. His wife worked for a company some 5 years ago and now the company went bankrupt and he could not experience certificate for her. MICC rejected application and deported all his family memebers. This went to the ministry and it seems they are looking in to it. This info is something from word of mouth I have no solid proof.
Now a days all lawyers are filing complaints with Ministry about these rules, especially for tax related documents for self and dependents. May be they may look in to your case and give positive judgement.
All the best
Anand
May be there is a hope

Hello!

For those who are already in the federal stage of the QSW program, is it okay to submit the federal application without the police clearance first? It might take months for my police clearance to arrive, and I'm wondering if it is wiser to submit my application already now, or wait until I receive my police clearance then submit. Many Thanks to all who would reply. :)

This is what my lawyer said,

"In the interest of submitting your application as quickly as possible, please apply for your police clearances without delay and provide me with copies of the receipts you receive (Proof of application). We will provide these, along with your other documents, and will indicate that your original clearance will follow once they are received." Hope that helps.

Hey Goechaddy,

Congratulations. I am so happy for you. I hope your federal wait wont be as long as mine. Interestingly I sent in my documents about Tuesday of last week which would be December 9, 2014 and I have passport request this morning. Very fast indeed. All the best with your federal.

The entire issue that Anand describes seems fake. First of all, Professor job has its visa and it provides a way to tag dependent in it. Therefore, if his/her dependent loose job, it will not be a big issue. Let me tell you, Professor jobs in developed countries are highly well paid job with high social status. Guys, do not take any issue without evidence.

All temporary visa have a 6 year limit beyond that there is no extension itseems. ANyhow I knew this from one of childcare agents because she was same agent for the guy who got deported. The agent was upset beacuse she lost her cleints.

Well as for high paid jobs, my frined with $120 k /annum got rejected beacuse she could not get her spouse Tax documents. She is from Inida and this is no fake or news from some one.
Bottomline get all documents.
All the best
Anand

Thanks Carro, I'm so excited. That is quick, it seems like clock work from here. I have started completing the forms etc. I am hoping to submit them to the lawyer by next week for review.
