That will depend on you visa office, security and medical checks.

If everything goes smoothly, it might take about 6-7 months from filing to visa reception.

That is optimistic :D

In their website the average time is 20 months for Paris Visa Office.

It is a long journey that will test your patience to the maximum.

Hi,

I have got CSQ recently and my federal application was lodged in July. I might get married soon, what if I notify the embassy of my status change. Will I need to re apply for CSQ? is it risky to inform immigration office? What if I don't tell them?

Hi all
I got recently my CSQ after 3 years waiting and I don't wanna wait another 4 years as it is written on the website for Amman office.. Please do anybody knows if getting a job offer will make the situation better?

It's a little bit optimistic but for what I'm able to see most cases take less time than what they show on the website. Paris visa office is actually pretty fast, even faster than Mexico (my visa office). Mexico has a 16 months waiting time, but all in all, it took me 6 months from dropping my application to the mail and passport request by visa office.

But I do agree with you, they will test your patience. and while it took 6 months for me, it felt way longer.

Yes, if you get married, you need to notify the embassy. Otherwise, they will only issue visa for you and if they found out that you're married they might cancel it due to misrepresentation.

If you marry before becoming PR, you will have to update your info with MICC and your file will be assessed again. If you have enough points as a couple they will give it to you, if not, they can actually cancel your CSQ.
Afterwards, you need to update your info with CIC and send your new CSQ. Yours and your wife.

Another option is waiting until after your become a PR. Marry your wife and sponsor her.

Yes, a validated job offer will put you on priority processing.

Please refer to the link to how to get your job offer validated: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/employeurs/embaucher-permanent/demande/index.html

Hope this helps.

Can anyone please help me.

I need to get married and add my wife the moment I get my file number so that no time is wasted in processing me as a single applicant and then as a married couple.

For that I need to be certain of the time MICC takes to open up a file so that I can sync my timing accordingly. It says from 4-7 months. I can take 4 months as a minimum number but is there anyone out here who got his/her file opened in less than 4 months.

Please reply since this info is really crucial for me to set my marriage time precisely.

Thank you

Hello Cyrus..
Well congratulation for getting Aor. I am from nepal as well and applied in Jan 2014. To make you clear, AOT means area of training, and you won't be receiving any letter with the name AOT. So wait for the interview call, till then learn french language.
About hiring lawyer, I suggest not to hire. I was also asked to get one, but what i realize by reading this forum that I don't need at this stage. I hope it helps.
Thanks.

thank you so much for ur reply coolforyou when will b internview and how much time it takes to arrive csq after file open ?

You can check the processing time in their website. I think it will take 40 months after getting AOR, however, it can be earlier depending upon their priority.

You have to go to
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/sponsors-sponsored/requirements-sponsor/index.html
and then
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

Hard to tell how long it will take, you can check the processing time for each. But I would say that at least a year.

Dear Friends,
I have received my file number on July 2014. I am a Nurse and have 53/49 points without adaptability points.
I recently got married and planning to add my husband in my application. But if I add him, we score exactly 57/57 points without adaptability points!!! So is it good to add him now? or shall I wait for my CSQ???
Please give me a piece of advise.
Thank you friends.
