thanks a lot guys for helping me out...

@ wings thx a lot buddy! now the really alarming thing is my current job duties are not finance related im performing my duties of Assistant Manager and it is primarily related to Administration not finance..hope u can guide me further..

ICEberg thax a lot buddy! you are right what you say but im little double minded about the fact i heard from my friend, now he is in UK he told me that if you are applying for CSW you have to show your present level of job(currently in which you are performing your duties it should not be less than manager) of atleast Managerial level not in Past but at the time of submitting your application..need ur answer...

As far as I can remember, I read somewhere that for CSW you have to show professional work experience. Definition of professional work experience is that it should not fall in class D of list of professions set by Canadian government. I hope you got my point. I will try to find the link.

Hi reaper..

Welcome to this thread!

I see your qualifications r really great.
College teacher, MBA & enough experience..all of these make u pass through.
But it is a regulated profession..so get prepared.

Thank you for the site :)

Shahi,

They do not look to the size of the firm. They just count ur years of experience & job profile (duties).
We can imagine that workin for an international firm, for example, could implied a certain high level or better profil..but in fact..the subjective analysis won't give that much weight.
So stick to what u r currently in..this is not a negative point..it adds to your experience by any mean.

I hope you got my point.

Narmeen,

Thanx..
Wish you the best of luck as well :)

Vicky,

Yes, u have to demonstrate ur job profil by describing ur job duties.
No, it is not stated in any sort of recommendation that the job should not be less than managerial position.

Best of luck everybody!

You welcome.Currently I am working as a college teacher. Does it mean that I have to get some kind of approval from the Quebec teaching agency before applying for QSW? I have also worked for 7 months as an accounts manager 2 years ago. Can I say in the interview that I will work as an accountant once I immigrate to Quebec?

@ narmeen..welcome

@ reaper.. no u need not take any permission for applying..but after u get CSQ and PR u need to take permission to pratice in quebec..

@ Vicky..just apply dude i think u ll be fine..

@angel and Iceberg..thanks guys ...even i think i have some experience in a MNC and now as a manager..even though small by role and duties are actually related to Business Develpoment.. so i will update them!!..i hope this works out soon for all of u..

@to all...this experience of sharing thoughts and questions makes my day everyday..Thanks All!!

Shahi

Shahi,

It's my pleasure too :)
I really look forward hearing good news for everybody..maybe eventually we'll meet all there :)

Reaper,

As Shahi explained, the regulated professions requires sort of studies/exams to be made there to approve your certificates & get permission to practice these professions.
The requirements may vary from one prof. to another.

Hi everybody,

Thanks a lot Reaper and Iceberg for the warm welcome.
Can anyone tell me how long i should wait to have medical after receiving CSQ and File Number from Nairobi Office?
All comments welcome.

Thxs again

Regards
Narmeen

hi guys..
@ shahi that is what i want to tell you that you should update the office abt ur new job position adn its roles..i think this act will help future. when u sit for the interview and at that time you tell them abt ur BD job than u would be in deep trouble..Buddy good decision..

@iceberg,Shahi,wings thx guys for ur help now i am at ease..

Bonjour a tous de bonnes personnes! :)

My name is Marko, I have applied for QSW five days ago.

I have Bachelors degree in Web and Graphic design, I have finished secondary school for computer scinece.
I have 38 months working expirience as a web & graphic designer, excecutive assistant and director of IT company.
I speak English - moderate level and French - beginner level.

I'm 25 years old. I was IT Excecutive in French company in Serbia for one year - my position required good English knowledge and beginner knowledge in French. I didn't took TEFAQ, or other French tests, I have sent them the Confirmation Letter that I have worked in French company and that my position required knowledge of French language. :) :) :)

What do you think about my chances?

P.S. I am taking course of French 10 days now. :)

Hey Manoylo

Well looks pretty good. you will be fine i guess! Take the online test also for quebec evaluation.

Shahi

Hey Shahi!

Thanx! I have completed the online evaluation on Quebec Immigration official website, it said "It seems that you have meet ........ and you can apply for Quebec immigration programme" :)

My only concern is the TEFAQ test for French knowledge, I don't know is this a "MUST DO IT - MUST PASS IT" thing...

Thanx!

:)

Hey Marko,

Welcome to the forum..this thread.
Well..this sounds really promising...go on with the evaluation test on Quebec immigration web site..there you can evaluate your chances.

My opinion..ur chances are pretty good..go ahead.
Meanwhile..try to practice french more..reading or listening to french make it fresh in ur mind & easier to ur tongue :D

Best of luck..
Keep us updated & we're all here if u need any help.

Thanx!!! :)

5 days just have passed 'till I have sent my application in Canadian Embassy in Vienna... I am so nervous! :)
