I was really hoping to be in Canada this year since my current job is so unfair. My salary is just 6000 pesos gross and I worked 40 hours a week or more :(

sorry to hear that secure.. :(... you are earning below the minimum wage...

It's ok. That is why I worked for another job in an international NGO to sustain my daily expenses and payment for the room I rented. In God's will I hope to have a good fortune in Canada. :)

I have one question.
For my wife after marriage, yet I havent change her name & address in her passport. She is still having the older valid passport with which we have applied for immigration. And in the application form also i have kept her name with what it was before the marriage as shown in passport.
Also in the form under "address/places where lived" section, I have mentioned her house address she lived until before marriage and then after marriage put mine. But no where in the form I have associated my surname with her. Will this be fine?

Please note that the passport is having her surname with name and her residential address not mine. Will this create issue?

And what is your suggestion? Should I change her detail in passport only after we get the visa? or can i change it before also? or will i be asked to change?

You said the passport is still valid then it is still ok. As long as you have the marriage certificate. Even if an applicant applies in their married name (for women) they will still use the maiden name. You can probably change it after you renew the passport (when the old passport will no longer be valid).

Conrad you are really helpful :o

Any idea please.

Getting a visa from day one of application is a long journey. There are stages to follow. From the day you submit your application you have to wait within 4-6 months to get AOR which is just telling you that they got your papers and you qualify to submit an application for the program (along with it, your bank draft, credit card should be charged already).

After AOR you have to wait again for the next stage which is either you will be scheduled for an interview or you will get the CSQ already if you're interview is waived (however none of us knows exactly for how long we have to wait...only QSW reviewing officers knows and they can't provide that info either even if you call them).

After interview or after you got the CSQ, you will now move to next stage which is the application to federal part which includes the medical and passport request. On the federal part for Philippines the processing time is 7 months per last update in their website. If your medical wont have any problem then they will request for your passport for visa stamping and they will send it back to you.
