There were questions about my current work of course, somewhere along the lines of
Do you think you are competent worker? Give me some supporting scenarios

I was nervous during the interview and before I knew it, it was over
So I don't remember much of any other questions. All in all I tried
To do a lot of talking In response to the questions to show I have done my research
And that I will be contributing positively to the Quebec society.
I made mention of some other things I have researched even if no question was asked on it.

I was fortunate enough to have a polite and gentle person for my interview as I have heard there are some
Cases where the interviewers are a bit harsh.

thank you so much ! that was so helpful ..

please if you remembered some more questions, send them to my inbox, or even put them here to let us read ..

thanks again and good luck !! :))))

0 AOT according to new rules, can submit wil least priority

i m about to apply, Business Administration B.Sc. is it also (AOT=0) ?
in fact i calculated my points as the following:

-- Education - B.SC business administration (4 yrs0) = 10
-- Area Of Training - IT services and management = 6
-- 5+ yrs experience = 8
-- 33 yrs old = 16
-- IELTS: (S-6.5=1/ R-5.5=1/ W-6.5=1/ S-7.0=2) = 5
-- TCFaQ: (A2=0 / B2=5) = 5
-- single = 0
Total = 50 ----- is that correct ? should i apply or it would be rejected ?

Is HK Office conducting any Interviews for PK ?\

Regards,
Junaid

They have not started interviews yet but the good thing is they have started processing the applications. Soon they will conduct the interviews but for that we have to wait for the next update for missions in Hong Kong office.

hi to all,

i am Jacob and i applied my file to Quebec in 16th July, 2013.

Unfortunately my file was returned on 10th Oct, 2013 that reason was "missing document of lanaguage test result".
But i've perfectly prepared my file and attached my TCF and IELTS documents. So i'd phoned to Quebec Immigration Office and explained this happening~, what the office said was that return all the file again i'd sent and they will process again with date of they recieved my file at first(?).

I dont think this happens usually, but really disspointed about this mistake from Immigartion Office.

I have no idea that my file gunna be evaluated with new rules or not (?)
Give me some advice~

Hi All,
I have been reading this thread silently for a few months now and have benefited from the feedback on here so I have decided to share my experience for others benefit

My location: Jamaica
Applied: June 2011
AOT: Computer Science
Office where application submitted: Mexico
File Number Recieved: July 2011
Level of French at time of application: Novice
French Level indicated on application: 3 (which I think corresponded to A2)

I got a request for updated documents in February 2013, I guess because some of my docs were submitted as notarized copies which was ok at time of submission. There were some changes in rules however which required certain documents to be certified as copies from the issuing institution so I had to get those redone. In addition I had submitted DELF A2 certificate as I had done the exam in June 2012 but did not get certificate until Dec 2012 and some complications prevented me from sending the cert at that time.

Placed on waiting list in May 2013.
Email received on Sept 13 2013 with proposed interview date Nov 13 2013. Interview date accepted
Interview location: Jamaica

My entire interview was in French, which lasted about 1 hour. I was able to manage because I had been doing french classes on and off at Alliance Francaise since July 2011 and by the interview I would say I was probably at the B1 level. I got a list of possible interview questions from this thread (page 89) which helped and I also had mock interview assistance from consultant.

Thankfully I was successful and now its on to the next phase.

Congratulations and thank you for sharing! All the best with the federal stage.

i just received my AOR today..Can anyone give me any idea since my IELTS expired last July 31, 2013, if I need to take another IELTS. I sent my application last June 19, 2013...Im also worried they might request an updated result of my IELTS..Thanks
