Hello Canada friends,

Me and my husband applied for QSW at the end of July, 2013. I need to know where can I find the old document for points: GRILLE SYNTHÈSE D E S F A C T E U R S E T C R I TÈRES APPLICABLES À LA SÉLECTION DES TRAVAILLEURS QUALIFIÉS
I can only find the new one, the one referring to those applying after 1st August.

Has anyone saved it in their computer, I refer to those who have applied before 1st August.

Please, send me if you find it anywhere, I need it urgently because I need to know how many points I have.

Thanks in advance

You do not need the old one, as basically everyone in the last 2 years who haven't got interview call yet, will be assessed by the new rules.

No. It depends on when the application got to the Ministry of immigration in Quebec. If your application was received no later than 31 July, then it will be assessed according to the old rules. That is why I need the old document.

Oszi is right. You need to read up on the changes and their application.

Hi everybody
I am new on this forum so greetings for all of you.

I have a question:
Do Syrians need visa to enter Turkey these days?

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and I was wondering if older users could help me.

I recently received my CSQ and I live in canada on a post-grad work visa.

I know that I have to apply for PR to the Ottawa visa office.
I know they claim that the processing time is around 20 months for federal part of QSW,
but I wanted to know how accurate this processing time is and what is the most likely duration from application date to the issuance of PR card?

Also if 20 months is the most likely time, I would have to leave Canada to go back to my country for job reasons and would not be able to return to Canada for at least a year and half, during this time I would have to perform the mandatory military service of my country and I would not be able to keep my passport for the duration of one year and half ( it will be issued again after finishing the military service ), so I am wondering if for instance the processing time would be short, maybe after 10 months I receive a passport request while not having a passport for another 6 months, could they void my PR application or even my CSQ certificate.

I really appreciate any opinions or information about my questions.

Regards,
Hooman

To God be the glory I received my CSQ on Tuesday.

The interview was scheduled for 9:00am and I got there at 8:09 am and waited for my my turn and at 9:02 I was called in for my interview. The interviewer was a middle aged man and he spoke audible and softly.
He started out with french to introduce himself and the whole process that was about to take place and after that, he started to request for my documents and as he went through each page thoroughly he was making notes also on his computer.
When he got to the documents for work experience, after going through it he then asked if I had done some jobs search on my field and I answered yes and showed him evidences ,he also asked if I knew the equivalent of my qualification in Quebec .
Then I was asked why I chose the borough I wanted to stay in montreal and I gave him my reasons , issues on children's school and day care were asked also.
He asked me to tell him the current affairs within the past month in Montreal and also some news papers that I know, sites where I looked for jobs and also about housing in Quebec.

In all, he kept on switching between french and English and at the end he said the long awaited statement, 'YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED' (hUh !!! sigh of relief). the whole interview lasted for 1hr 32 minutes
An advise to all, please learn your french very well cos he laid so much emphasis on it.

I hope this helps.

I'm from jan 2011, I received an e-mail lately, it was about updating them regarding my case. and at the end of it there was a list to check, and I didn't understand whither it was for me to send everything again or something else!
anyways, it looks like I'm the only one here from jan 2011, so I'll keep u updated if anything new happens.

My dear, You do not need the old document to calculate your points because what applies to you situation is the point system as written in the new document. What determines the rules that apply to you is not when your application was received but the level at which the MICC officers have gone in processing your application. If you are still in doubt ,please check this link.http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/questions-answers.html

hey folks..... take a look at number of pages of this thread...
