Hi, I just submitted my application awhile ago and I know that the bank draft I have exceeds the amount needed to be paid but that was the amount available in the managers check so I had to take it.

I'm afraid it will be a reason for my rejection. Do you think I need to write a letter to tell them that it's ok that they get the entire amount.

BIQ Paris doesn't accept new applications. Send your application to this address:

Direction de l'immigration économique – International
Service Europe de l'Ouest, Afrique subsaharienne et Maghreb
Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles
285, rue Notre-Dame Ouest, 4e étage
Montréal (Québec) H2Y 1T8
CANADA

Yes, fees payment can be made on bank draft. It should be in favour of ministre des Finances du Québec

Mauritius is covered under BIQ paris. BIQ paris stopped accepting new applications few months ago, now all new applications will be sent to Montreal. It's mentioned in the link given below:

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/biq/paris/dcs-travailleurs/index.html

"Toute nouvelle demande et toute correspondance doivent être envoyées à la Direction de l'immigration économique – Europe de l'Ouest et Afrique subsaharienne et non plus aux bureaux de Paris et de Bruxelles. "

You still have time to make it fluent. Almost any job in QC demands fluent French .
Yes, Quebecois speak slower than French, but their accent distorts words so much that you struggle to understand simple words.
Similar to Scottish English - after having lived in Scotland for 5 years, I still have hard time understanding them.

Hi,

I got my AOR within 3 months and I have heard cases where CSQ was directly sent and in some cases AOR sent after 6 months, So you can wait for another 1 month and then check with BIQ Montreal. If you do not mind sharing ..What is the profession you are into ? if it is for AOT 12 / 16 points you may receive directly too.

Thanks,

As far as I remember, you can apply only if your employment is in your field of study, else its unlikely to be selected. however, if you have more than 5 years of experience in the same field I believe you can gain some points, you can check with an immigration lawyer, and get the exact points with details, that you can score

Hi all,

I got my CSQ through PEQ about 3 months ago, I'm still to send my Federal app (I'm currently in Quebec, working), but I'm worried about the language changes on Aug 1st, will they affect me considering I already have my CSQ? I got B1 for both. I'm wondering as to whether I should even try applying now at this stage.

Masters: 12 + AOT: 6 + Age: 16 + Work Experience: 6 + Financial: 1 + TCFQ: 3 + 8 = 11 + IELTS: 2 + 3 thats make a total of 57

so actually I am 2 points over to that of 55 required for a single applicant.

Can you advise me further????? What shall I do????
