You will be irritated by Quebec's bureaucracy too. I waited 3 months my appointment with Ministry and I will wait 9 months the evaluation of my diplomas. It takes months to get a simple paper, and there is no one to beg or to give an envelope to. A lack of a few admin staff causes immigrants skill loss and disemployment.

The clumsy public administration that could turn any businessman`s life into real hell and that drove away our foreign investors is the main reason for my firm decision to leave my home country Bulgaria. It took me more than a month to get a certificate proving my social contributions and paid taxes for the last five years. I was going to my revenue inspector every day to beg him just to print it out and seal it....

Ketevan, probably you`re right but the difference is that the Canadian deadlines are determined in advance and the document that I was talking about was supposed to be given to me in one business day according to the information given on the Revenue Agency homepage. On the top of that it`s a centralized system and all the info is a click away...

I agree. There is certainly more transparency in Canada and this is also the main reason for my move. When we get CSQ, we sign a contract with government that a job in our field cannot be guaranteed. Everybody knows what to expect before complaining.

Hi Ketevan

I must say thanks for sharing the detailed circumstances which you're facing after landing... Most of the people on this forum stay in touch until they get CSQ/visa... But there are very few like you who shares the story after landing.... I'm pretty sure whatever you write here it helps a lot of people like me who reads daily.....

I've also applied for comparative evaluation & I got my file in March-13. But after that no updates on my evaluation process, Let me know if you get to here something from them.

Keep us updating friend.... Our best wishes are with you.... Cheers ... :)

Came back from MICC where I applied for evaluation comparative. To my great excitement, the staff scanned my diplomas and returned immediately! Yahoo! Saved money by avoiding "proper amount" and envelope ;D
However, she returned me the docs because I made appointment 3 months ago. But nowadays the appointment system no longer is available so everybody needs to drop documents in their mailbox and wait months until they are returned. So my suggestion to everybody - get several copies of your degrees and transcripts certified by your schools before leaving the country, because sending to MICC originals and staying months without diplomas is absurd. Also try to apply before coming because it takes about a year to get evaluatiom comparative and even the lowest ranking jobs like bank cashiers demand evaluation comparative.

Going to Emploi Quebec this afternoon to open my file. A few of my colleagues got an internship arranged by Emploi Quebec in their field, so I am going to enquire how to apply.

By the way, I quit my call centre job because I was required to do sales in each income call (though my job title and contract had nothing to do with sales). I got exhausted by being yelled at and treated like a bug by annoyed clients who were equally exhausted with aggressive tele-marketing. I will take a monthly break to complete my PhD thesis and then continue applying.

Hi vicky4frendz,

Thanks for your appreciation. The ministry told me to wait at least 7 months before contacting them. So I guess it is too early to hear news from them. Are you tracking their web? They show which file numbers they are processing now for evaluation comparative.

Thanks faultyjack99 for your reply and wishes. I just got a reply from the consultant's quality control unit about the documents. The certified true copies are sealed and signed from the university and the seal is in native language. We cannot help with the seal, it will be in the native language only. Also the there's a tax documents missing as the salary during that time was not taxable. however, I've sent a link mentioning the tax slab during that period. Please suggest, if these points will be a drawback for us?? :(
Hi,
Kindly check with your consultant what documents will be required to support the documents you have sent, I dont think your tax document will be a problem as long as you have attached salary slip, also even if your salary was non taxable you must have got form 16 which is given to salaried people, see if you can arrange that. Regarding your documents it should be fine as long as they are true copy of the original documents.
regards,

I`m really sorry to hear that, but I`m sure you`ll be given a chance after 31 July. Could you please share what your professions are?

@ Mim my profession is secondary school teacher and my husband posess a professsional degree (3 years electrician) and a university degree electrical engineering (5 years),i knew that our universities degrees were'nt accepted :(but i hoped for the professional degree because it was sth similar to that they needs( Installation de systemes de securite )and when you check in the web it's an electrician but specialised in security system installation 1.5 year or 2 ,,,

There is no priority processing for evaluatiom comparative, except one case - if your employer provides you with a letter stating that evaluation comparative is necessary for you to start the job. In this case it will take about a month. Otherwise, you have to wait 7 months minimum but often even more.

Yes it is variable. I know two people who got evaluation comparative in 2 months and one person who got it in 1 month, yet the average is 6-9 months. But it is great you already have it.

To be exact, this is what the official guide for QSW application processing contains:

Requirements for the selection stage

To be selected, candidates must meet the threshold of transition to stage selection. The passing scores that apply at this stage are following:

- 55 points for a single applicant;
- 63 points for an applicant with his spouse or partner.

Remarks:

- If the candidate demonstrates language skills in French with the support of his application for immigration, the result of a test assessment issued by the Ministry Recognized organizations (SEE SECTION 3.3.4.1.), The immigration officer may ensure the validity of the results using the validation means at its disposal by issuers.

- The candidate who claimed he has skills in French allowing it to be selected to record but does not seal parts proving their language skills will be invited to take a test standardized demonstrating the level stated.

- To do this, a letter (PERM 115b) is sent to the candidate, the stage preliminary examination, inviting them to spend a French test. A new code (151) is provided for this purpose in the "Status" of SEPTE.

- All factors of the grid are taken into account at this stage.

So I also think this means that at the interview they can not assess language skills, only either validate official test results, or ask for taking such a standard test, and submit the result (in case it was not submitted with the application already).

I am so happy to read this from someone in the forum, every time i write this, i get so many objections from the guys :)))

can i ask you for this manual in English language version ? Thank you in advance.

Signalmaker,

I assume you did DELF. You can easily get a high B1 in TCFQ 8)

hello,

thank you for your reply, this is what i really want to understand, is A2 in one exam is exactly like A2 in other exams or the evaluation and naming are different from exam to exam ??

Also i need to tell you and ask you that there is no TCFQ in Jordan, only DELF and TEF, and DELF is made three times n the year and TEF is made less than 3, i think once.

will making TCFQ be necessary in any stage of my journey one day ?! like after interview ?

Thank you in advance.
