Hello,
Thanks for sharing
Can you please ask your consultant where did HK BIQ reach in immigration files? which month or file # ??
It seems there is no movement in BIQ

I think all the files from HongKong BIQ are moved to Montreal, when I rang Montreal office they said that they dealing with Nov 2010 files non priority files side by side priority files submitted randomly. But still it all depends...cant predict can take even longer or quicker...

Hey guys, i found one link in which some tips are mentioned which could accelerate the processing of your case.

Don't worry about it, your application will be reviewed under the rules in effect by the time you first filed your application, which means that if you filed your application in March-2011 any changes after that date will not affect you.

Cheers,

Hello members,

Just want to share that I took TCFQ last month and got the results today, I scored B1 on both evaluations :D, I honestly expected an A2.
I have not taken any other French proficiency exams but I can say that TCFQ was fairly easy... if you have been studying some French of course. I have been studying French continuously for 9 months now, before that I had no knowledge of French whatsoever.

I have read some posts from some forum members who under estimate the importance of submitting French proficiency exams or having some knowledge by the time an interview is scheduled. Quebec is a Francophone province, knowledge of French is important for success and immigration officers know this, those of you who need to score adaptability points will hardly get them if you don't have at least an A2 level. In my opinion an A2 level shows that even though you are still a beginner, you have the willingness to learn the language. Now with "Parti Quebecois in power, even more importance will be placed on French language at selection interviews, God forbid but I would not be surprised if I start reading posts about people who have been denied because they did not get enough adaptability points at the interview.

The comment above is just my free and humble opinion, good luck to everyone and I hope to see you all in Quebec one day.

Congrats on your great score mate! And I couldn't agree more about knowing French part. That's what makes Québec different from the rest of Canada.

félicitations ami !

You are right. Things were easy when Parti libéral was in power. But now Parti Québécois has only word in mouth, i.e français français français. that's why, they are more strict on french language. Now it could be a wastage of time and money for those people, who don't know french.

Hi Faultyjack99,

I've just sent my application for QSW. I do not have any knowledge of French. I am doing an online course from Rosetta Stone and I plan to join a local class here to be more proficient with French. However, my consultant confirmed that the interview will be partial french and partial english. But you confirmed its 90% french.. :o... We were told that we are good to go with 60 points with us without french... but if we are able to manage with french level 1 as well then there are good chances to get our interview waived off??? Please suggest!
HI Mollyforever,
EarIier the interview were happening in english and french but now the rules are becoming strict. They want people who have firm knowledge of french language and show them their willingness to be a part of quebec. From past experience they have learned that immigrant are trying qsw to enter canada through Quebec thats why they are making it difficult. Anyways if we learn this language it will help us in canada as well so why not learn it since we need to learn it anyway.
I wish you luck and pray you get the waiver.

my interview was 100% in French Quebecois :D, if you can watch French TV5 Monde they put everyday Canaidan French movies and about quebec,
so you can get used to the accent, also subtitles in French so you can read what you cant understand.
Hi,
Kindly share your experience so we can prepare.
Thanks in advance.
