Thanks for your reply

We've applied from India, so our visa office should be New Delhi. How would you get to know that the file is in priority. According to our consultant Social Work doesn't come under that category.

Actually Social Work is on the list (LISTE DES DOMAINES DE FORMATION PRIVILÉGIÉS (2009)), but only if it's a "Diplôme du Québec ou l’équivalent" and not "Diplômes étrangers". So it'll depend on whether or not your degree will be seen as equivalent or not I guess. And therefor you can have a look at this table I guess (TABLEAU COMPARATIF DES DIPLÔMES INDIENS). And I'm not quite sure about whether it will be or not... But maybe you know and then your question is solved. :-)

Hoping for you that you get a priority treatment though...

Hi stylove,
You are right for the CSQ timing is 2 years plus but all files are treated as same in federal part and the processing time is 11 months for New Delhi visa office...but definitely not 2 years for the federal process as per my knowledge, may be for other Asian or Gulf countries it's even more like you said its 2 years

Thanks Jenalby and Stylove for the update... but I am shocked to hear the processing time 4 years???? :(. Our consultant confirmed us 2 years for the total process. Its disheartening :( :( :( :( :( :( . Does points play some role in this, coz we were able to get 60 points. I heard if we are able to make it 63 with french proficiency then there are good chances to get our interview waived off.

Hi Mollyflower,
May I know who is your consultant...

Does anyone know under which AOT a Commercial Helicopter Pilot would come under (if any)?

Hello,

I mailed my application several hours ago. Meanwhile I plan to apply for an Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec. If by any chance I happen to get the Évaluation before my interview should I declare a change in my initial situation by pointing that I have obtained a diploma recognized as equivalent by a Quebec regulatory body? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi friends,
I got some news to share with you, today I spoke to my consultant who informed me that in may 2013, 12 people were called for the interview who used the services Y-Axis, out of 12, 6 were lucky to clear the interview and were given CSQ, 3 were kept on hold and rest were rejected because of French. The interviews are happening in French and 90% of the questions asked are in the interview are in French. Guys now since we have jumped in this and invested time and money, I think we will have to prepare for the worst scenarios.

Please friends I do not want to demotivate anyone however I thought this could be of help so thought of sharing this on the forum.

I do not have copies and I do not have time and money to fly to all countries where I studied to certify copies. I am going in person and I was told by another candidate that they will copy my diplomas and return immediately.
So I repeat my question - has anybody gone in person to the MICC to submit evaluation comparative and if yes, have you received diplomas on the spot, please?

you must send true certified copies, because some friends their degrees were lost

I landed long time ago. Please see my timeline.

If I had certified copies, I would not be asking this question :D

you should send certified true copies as i was told by our consultant that the originals would be returned once you land in quebec and that too after a couple of years. Only the educational certificates are returned on request.

Hello everyone

I'm a bit confused about the Areas of Training Part of the Quebec Skilled Worker application. According to the Intake of applications page

There are 2 pdf links. One for you to get 6 pts and one for you to get 12 or 16 pts.

I have BSc in Engineering ( Electronics and Telecommunications) and MBA from Bangladesh.

According to the 1st link (i.e. to get 6 pts) it falls under the degree obtained in quebec or equivalent part.

In the quebec degree equivalency sheet and going to the Bangladesh page from there

I find BSc in Engineering is listed there. So is it equivalent to the quebec degree and am I eligible for those 6 pts?

Please help. I want to apply for QSW and have intermediate French skills as well. ( Passed A2 with 6 pts). Deadline is approaching 31st July.

I wanted to post all the links but I was not allowed to.
