Hi Umer,

I too gave my TCFQ exam and also received my scores. The local AF branch gave me only the original attestation of TCFQ. Is that the only document or do they also provide another original certificate. Please let me know so that I can follow up the AF staff for other certificates

I am not sure how TCFQ works but in my case I did DELF and there was an initial attestation which I received very soon after the exam and after 3 months received the actual certificate. It is really essential you talk to AF where you took your exam and find out if there is another certificate which has to be awaited. My file was returned for this reason and only when I submitted the DELF deploma certificate, my application was accepted.
However, from the forum, I learnt that TCFQ results are published very soon (in 15 days or so) when compared to DELF which takes 3-4 months to get the actual certificate that is accepted.
Regards

Hi Sujaarun,

I have been following up with the AF and they too have been saying that this attestation is the only certificate of the TCFQ exam given. This itself is considered as the certificate.

@ Umer - As you gave the TCFQ exam before, Can you help me understand if there is any additional original certificate that I should be receiving

I also took TCFQ. there is only one attestation of results and that's what u will be sending in your application (the original, not a copy)

I would need some advice here regarding the points calculation for CSQ.
I submitted my application in october and received AOR too. While submitting my application, I have 62 points. (DELF A1).
Now, if I complete A2 or any higher level and submit the results to modify my file, will I earn these additional points. OR the points that you have when I get my AOR is only counted while making their decision?
Can someone guide me here so that I can plan accordingly? I do understand that FR is really really required to survive in the long run, but I am looking for the possibility of an interview waiver with additional points.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Go ahead and study your French, and obtain higher scores. As you mentioned, you have already received AOR, meaning that your AOT is accepted, and you meet the Minimum threshold points to open a file. So it will be to your advantage, to study more french, and update your file, which can help influence your interview decision, or betterstill give u a waiver. IT IS VERY POSSIBLE TO UPDATE YOUR FILE, ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED AOR, EITHER WITH A NEW CHILD, NEW MARITAL STATUS, OR NEW LANGUAGE RESULTS.

Good luck!!

Hey fellow friends ,
do you guys know if Quebec would need your original french certificate ? or a certified copy of it is also sufficient ?
I have found two descrepent info on their website , ( on the supporting document section it states that the certified copy is also ok ) , while on the form it says they need an original
here are the references :

I believe you need to send original language certificates. (IELTS/FR). I checked this with my lawyer and he insisted that i sent the originals, I did that.
