It seems you can request the plain TEF anytime of the year, it just costs alot more, the TEFQ is only offered in February.
I would suggest, sit for the TCFQ or TEFQ. TCFQ is easier than TEFQ as TCFQ has no negative marking.

Dear Shootingstar ,

You mentioned that you already sent your B2 in the past right ? was that DELF B2 official exam ? and what year you took it ?
I really still don't understand the main reason of refusal, if you already made A2 ?

Please ilustarte.

Thank you !
signalmaker,
Yes, DELF official results. We sent that with the application itself in 2011. I had taken the exam just before we sent our application in may 2011. For my husband(main applicant), we had not sent anything and had claimed level 1 in the application. We took DELF A1 results with us for him during the interview.

Is it because the B2 was for the spouce not the main applicant so you didnt get the enough points ?
did you make IELTS ?
I guess so, I am sure we did not have enough points and that's why we were called for the interview and not sent the CSQ directly. However what I don't understand is, why couldn't we be given the adaptibility points in the interview which would make us 63? I am sure we were 59/60.
No, we did not take IELTS.

Do you know the exact date when the DELF certificate was awarded. If you send it with your application in May 2011, I'm assuming you took it a couple months before so it might be possible that it's older than 2 years.

Current regulations call for language exams to be not older than 2 years.

My exam is dated june 3 2011 and we sent the CSQ application only in september. I'm pretty sure the score is not more than 2 years old as of today.

That's it's weird. He should have accepted that certificate. Well, on any case try with TefaQ or TCFQ both are easier than DELF.

Also, you already got your foot in, so one more hurdle to go and you will be done with CSQ

I'm trying TCFQ soon, in 1.5 months. Hoping that it will be easy!

Dear shooting Star,

Thank you for the reply.
I need to tell you that there is a minimum before the interview, which is 57, and there is a minimum after Interview, which is 63.

What is your score before interview ??!
Also one Question, do you have any children .. ?

Dear all,

The Federal Occupations were announced before hours.. !

I need an advice here; I was shocked to know that both my wife's occupation and mine, are listed in the Federal Occupations announced before hours by the Minister of Immigration !

I have 64 Points before interview, as i made DELF, IELTS, and got a child before i get a file number, so my situation is somehow good.

But i am getting crazy for what coincidence that i found these listed tonight.

Please advise.

Thank you !

If you have 64 points before interview, that means you only need two more points so your case looks good, however if you have all your papers ready and you and your spouse are eligible to go federal, I would go federal, unless you speak better French than English then I would go Quebec.

I found an article in a Spanish blog: http://noticiasmontreal.com/93717/inmigracion-canada-esta-es-la-lista-de-profesiones-que-aceptara-el-programa-de-trabajadores-calificados/

I know that you might not speak any Spanish ;D so I am going to translate the most important parts for you:

"El tiempo de procesamiento de las nuevas solicitudes será de un máximo de 12 meses, sin embargo el diputado Rick Dystra dijo a Noticias Montreal hace unas semanas que quisieran reducirlo en promedio a unos 9 o 10 meses."

"The processing time for new applications will be a maximum of 12 months, but congressman Rick Dystra told Montreal news a few weeks ago that they would like to reduce it to an average of about 9 or 10 months."

Like I said you don't know exactly how much longer you will have to wait for QSC, plus the federal part. Unless you feel you have better job perspectives in Quebec go to Quebec otherwise I would go federal. Good luck!
