I just received an email on Friday from CIC at the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa, indicating they have made a decision on my application for Permanent Residence and I had to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). I paid and sent them a copy of my receipt of payment as they requested and am now just waiting to hear back :) Should be within 60 days. Very excited here!

As a side note, my passport was not requested.

Only the Federal application for PR (that technically took 10 months). I originally applied for the CSQ back in March 2010 - so in all, about 3 years. However, when I applied in March 2010, I was told Immigration Quebec was extremely busy, therefore it longer than normal (or so I've heard) for my CSQ process.

hi ketevan

you can contact one of senior member here.. egrace

he is already landed there and got a permanent job... but initially he did call centre jobs as survival job..

Hello mkshah

I am curious how coe you have more than 1 NOC code showing, can you apply like that?

Thanks

hi goodmrng1947,

actually these are 2 different NOCs related to my 2 different jobs I did in last 10 years..

I hope now this makes it clear to you.. :)

Yes Mr Shah it is clear now. Reason of asking this question was a similar case of mine. Though i have not applied under any catagory yet but very soon planning to.

Does it normally take years before you actually land in Canada? Consultants out here are giving a timeline of 12-18 months only

Thank you

It doesn't usually take less than 2 years going under QSW stream, but looking at the current interview schedule it may take more than 2 years just to get a call for interview and you have to add the Federal Process (8-12 months).

yes goodmrng1947,
a couple of years ago, it usually took 15-18 months to complete entire process, but since nov-2011, the things have taken a u-turn and now it takes more than 24 months just to receive interview call for csq and then another 10-12 months for getting federal PR, so altogether it becomes a process of 3+ years...

kuro_shio, Mr Shah

Many Thanks for the reply, around 3 years is a long time but hope that reduces with passing time and changes that are happning in immigration process right now. do you think going to canada on a temp work permit and than later based on that work exp applying for PR will reduce the total time to get PR in canada?

Dear Friends

From the immigration web site they are saying that files will be transferred to montreal from 1st April,2013 while on the other side
there are some rumours that files are already transfer to montreal in January....

So any one can tell what is the exact scenario as i am march-2011 applicant from india...

Regards

As discussed earlier one of my friend who had applied in Nov-2010 and having B1 level in french is recently given only 4 points instead of 8 points so can any one throw lights for the older rules and new rules for the french and english.

Bcoz as per my understanding new language rules took place after 6 December 2011 so how they can reduce the points????

and there were no such rules that your score should be more than 16 b4 6 dec 2011

Yesterday i recieved the french exam results (DELF),i was eliminated coz i didn`t do anything on the writing part,so I have asked the Aleance Francaise for a document that I took part in the exam and scores on listening and speaking.

Would this document be enough for the QSW,to claim the points on French?

That all depends on how advanced your French speaking and comprehension skills are. Should you be called for an interview (which is most likely), you must ensure you show your level of French that you indicated on your application. How advanced are your French speaking and listening skills?

I have done the A2,my wife A1,but I am confused with the fact that i have been eliminated from the exam for not doing the writing part,as QSW requires only the speaking and listening.
If i send only the paper with the results will my application be returned?

Bonjour a tout le monde

One should attempt TEFAQ instead of DELF or DALF beacause only you require is listening & speaking to score points for QSW.

Bonne chance
