So, FINALLY! I received the interview invite. My interview is 2 months from now(CSQ interview).

I have one question - they have mentioned to bring original birth certificates and all school certificates, starting with high school. I'm not sure I have my birth certificate in original. Also, I submitted my bachelor's degree original transcript(sealed), so would I need to take that again? I think that itself was original.

Congratulations! Can you tell us to what BIQ did you send your application? How many points do you have so far?

How are you doing in French? Thanks.

Thank You! My information is on my profile, I applied to Montreal in Sept 2011. I am intermediate-advanced in French. However, I am not the principal applicant. My husband is the main applicant and he just started learning French a few months ago(we don't think he will reach the appropriate level for an interview by April).

congratulations! you are good to go and I guess you are the big factor in getting your csq, like you've said your french is at intermediate level and you're not the principal applicant but your husband. that is the deciding factor.

Yes, I am good to go but since my husband is the primary applicant, I believe he needs to continue to work towards learning French.

Big congratulations for getting the interview invitation. Wish you all the best. At least someone got the invitation after long delay.
I am not sure about your birth certificate, it should be better to ask BIQ by email or through phone. As you have already submitted original B.Tech certificate that should be fine.

Thank you guys finally somebody replied and I am feeling bit relieved now ........Yea we are trying our best to learn as much as we can in these last days at least greetings and some other basic french words and hope god will help us too........and of course I will let you guys know whatever will happen with us. It is just a game of 1 or two numbers let's see if they make the decision in our favor. we will try our best to convince them ........
Even if we try our level best for sure we are unable to speak full sentences its only-few words we can memorize and can convince them we are learning..............but my questions is in the interview they only check your french?? I mean they asked us to bring all the documents and do some research on Quebec history and job market so obviously they will ask questions from that too so in that scenerio even if we would able to get 1 or 2 marks in the whole interview it will worth it as we are short of only 1 number.

thanks

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]Whatever the official criteria is, French language is the Hidden Factor that ultimately decides whether they will issue CSQ or not. I think you should well prepared for a french interview. practice all the questions they might ask you. I dont want to be so harsh and hard but I think NO FRENCH NO CSQ........ Best of Luck.

For Listening : You need to score 300-399 for B1 and 400-499 for B2.
For Speaking : You require 9-12 for B1 and 13-16 for B2.

Please check the below link for more info.
