Hi,i do not really want to preempt what the person meant by quebec will repeat federal. But if i make a wide guess,he is trying to say that after march 31st,2013 quebec immigration will stop accepting any application from skilled workers until they tackle the issue of their backlogs. You know that is what federal is doing presently. So,they are likely going on a break;that is why they are trying to centralize all BIQ'S in montreal i guess.

Let's keep our hands crossed that the obvious changes to the QSW program after March 31st be positive, and more to our favor........

I'm starting to get really impatient now... It's been over 7 months since I sent my application. Normally they process Western Europe applications pretty fast. Also they haven't updated the Processing times for CSQ page yet, for January. I really want to know what's going on with my application.

Sorry pls u just have to exercise some more patience, and hope that all will be ok soonest. What is your AOT? Was it considered for priority processing? did you have 16 or 12 or 6 points from it? That might also be a reason for the delay.....though 7 months is not too bad....

Hi there. I'm in the same spot. I've been waiting for over 5 months since my app. was filed. I guess it takes up to 7-8 months to get any further information (interview call / waiver).

Hi shay, where did you submit your application? I sent mine August 2012 in Hongkong and I haven't got any receipt or acknowledgment (AOR) by regular mail or e-mail and it's been more than 5 months already. I sent an email mid of January last month and was told that file is still queue for processing...That long?!!!

I sent my application, in June 2012 to the Montreal Office as they closed down the BIQ Paris office. MY AOT is U074, so it gives me 6 points. I received my AOR in October but haven't heard anything since. :(

I find it very ridiculous to wait more than a year sometimes two years to get QSC alone! I am aware that the influx of applicants to Quebec is much higher than any other provincial nominee program, it currently takes between 8 & 16 weeks to obtain nomination in B.C and New Foundland for example. Quebec is a "rich province" and can afford to process applications faster.

In my opinion the time that it takes to process a QSW application is based on the applicant's conditions. Top priority are those already in Quebec under a work permit, Quebec graduates, and those with a Quebequois spouse. Second priority are those on priority list A,B, and C (in that order) the next factor is the applicant's level of French. If you are neither on any priority list nor have a mid-high level of French your waiting time is expected to be long, long.

I am totally agree with Master7 and others.
They are very slow. I have sent my updated documents 15 days before and it received at BIQ HK before 7 days. And i have asked them to verify whether they have received my documents or not, and after 5 days they replied me as below.

For your information, The Ministère de l'immigration et des Communautés culturelles wishes to inform its clientele that as of April 1, 2013, the selection of skilled workers will be officially transferred form BIQHK to our office in Montréal. Please check our website for the update information.

This information is just useless. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Hi Harit79,

I am not aware of this situation yet? so new applications starting April 01, 2013 will be processed in Montreal? or even current applications like yours?? if so what are they trying to do? forward every open application in the world to Montreal?? God helps us if that is the case!

That means from 1st April,2013 onward, applicants whose BIQ is HongKong they have to apply at Montreal directly. I am not sure how they will treat the old applicants like me.

Will this apply only to HK applicants? or more applicants in the world will also have to apply in Montreal?
