Dear All,

Hello to all.

I am writing in this forum for the first time.

I have applied for the QSW from Bangladesh in August 2012 and not got the AOR or File Number yet. This delay has made my life miserable and frustrated.

Does anybody know about the reason of the delay???

Please help me.

It will be difficult to help you when u haven't let us know if you sent the DELF results in December 2012, or in January 2012.....if you could upload your timeline by the left, that will be better.....

If you have scored more than 16 in Listening and Speaking then you will get 6 points. If you have more than 16 in one module and between 8 to 16 in second then you will get 3+ 1= 4 points.
I hope that will clear your doubts.

hank you very much harit79. That pretty much clears the doubt.

Aren't you going to enter Quebec by May 5th, 2013. If that is the case you don't have to extend your CSQ, but if you enter after May 5th, 2013 , you have to ask for a renewal

It usually takes around 4 months but the time-frame varies. You better keep patience. Btw, you may visit the following link as well. Thanks

hey guys,

Check this thread in which the consequences of misusing Quebec immigration are mentioned.

Hello all. Congrats to all who got updates. I'm new to this thread and taking my time to learn about QSW. I wish everyone best of luck.

Hi guys,

I am in a fix again. As you all may be knowing, my Quebec application was returned in Nov 2012 by BIQ-HK because of my AOT not being eligible (according to them). So now my plans were to re-send the application with the correct AOT code or wait out till March when all categories re-open and re-send that time. However, since the wait time is too long, I was thinking of not depending on this application and chose to apply for a study permit instead and go study/work in Vancouver/Toronto and then apply for PR through the CEC/PNP route as well. So the Quebec application which I'd send right now would just remain as a backup plan incase I didn't get the PR through CEC/some other PNP.

However, according to this thread about Quebec immigration (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pr-i-almost-feel-scammed-t97559.0.html), the person's PR application is about to be cancelled inspite of being in it's final stage because although he had studied in Quebec, he had found a job in another province and therefore showed no intention to settle in Quebec.

I am scared that if the same thing happens to my Quebec application, it will not only affect my PR application through this category but may also affect my PR application through the CEC/PNP category and I MAY BE LEFT NOWHERE!!! What are the chances of that?

Now keeping the above incident in mind, I can just forget about Quebec and stick to the study-visa route because it's much faster but there are three problems with that:

1) I have paid US$1000 to Y-axis which they won't refund me if I withdraw the application.
2) The study-work route does not guarantee me a PR either.
3) I invested 1.5 yrs in learning French and have DELF B1.

So what do you people advice? Should I re-send my CSQ application or not?

Thanks for the advice in advance!

My personal opinion is that if your French is weak and you can federal GO federal. Don't go through Quebec. Also, have in mind that there is absolutely no guarantee that all AOTs will open again in March, as stated by Quebec provincial government, it may or it may not happen.

I invested 1.5 yrs in learning French and have DELF B1. And I can't go federal unless I study and get a work permit. Thanks for your reply :)
