hi DebR, thanks for this update.
I m surprised to see they have not included DELF exams for french language. Only TEF is recognized for french.

From when will this rule be applicable? Does this applies to old applicants too???

Shocked to see so many changes they brought in Canada immigration system.
Really, it seems they are very full with immigrants now... :D

Hi there, as per the website, they are mainly focusing on investor programs after April 1st, 2013.

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/biq/hong-kong/new1.html

I am guessing the interview will still be in HK but the file processing will be in Montreal.

I personally have called BIQ HK, they said all files will be transferred to Montreal as of April onwards, regardless of the application status...

Anyone with more thoughts??

hi xyiday,
thx for this news.
Does this mean that they are closing BIQ HK too... ???
Then what will happen to the applications already
submitted at BIQ HK?

Have they transferred these applications to Montreal
?
THIS CAN BE THE MAIN REASON FOR DELAY SINCE LAST MANY MONTHS, THAT THEY ARE SHIFTING OUR BIQ AND FILES WERE TRANSFERRED TO MONTREAL.
Now we can expect fast processing for countries covered under BIQ HK.

Hello,

I guess this change is only for the Federal stuff, not related to Quebec that will always accept DELF.

Did any of you (AORs received in SEPT/OCT/NOV 2012) get any information regarding interview?
Hello Hoback , I am from East Europe and I have almost the same timetable as you.
I think Amirjs is right saying the process will be faster. For sure they have now less applications to process than a year before. I think that on February we may receive news regarding interview.
Let's hope for the best :)
