Yes you will get 3 points for Listening and 1 point for speaking.
Please check the below link.

canadavisa.com/proving-french-language-ability-tcf.html

Not being disrespectful of canadavisa.com, but I think this time that table you refer to (which I have mentioned also in my post) is wrong/outdated, according to my latest findings.

Look at this official document, page 6 (dated 6th of december, 2011): www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&gpiType=N&file=NPI2011-010.pdf&eoq=36870

You will see, that actually they give A2 for 2-5 points in speaking, the same way TCFQ scores are translated into A1-C2 bands.

This other official document is exactly about updating those scores to these I mentioned above here (dated 1st of december, 2010): www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&gpiType=N&file=NPI2010-013.pdf&eoq=36870

So I think canadavisa.com needs to update its table too. Any opinions?

Hi,

my IELTS score is:
L: 7 2 Point
R: 8
W: 7
S: 6 2 Point
overall: 7

If you have more than 7 band in speaking and 8 band in Listening you can get 6 point.

what will be the point for the CSQ for english?

thanks

Thanks, are these thresholds stated in the immigration Quebec website?

Hello Friends

Please advice I am very confused

Please advice if I am in a position to apply for qsw now

I have done my master's from UK in finance and investment management. Duration of programme was 1 year.

I would like to know how many points I could score in area of training as I have checked finance and investment management is not there on the list? and for my education how many points i would score because in quebec the duration of masters is 2 years.

Below is my profile

Age = 27
Maritul status = single
Education = MBA in Finance and Investment Management (1 year) from UK
Area of Training = Finance and Investment Management
Experience= 3 years 6 months work experience as a senior merchandiser in the field of textiles.
French = A1 for listening and 0 for speaking ( I think I will score only 1 point for this)
English = 7.0 for listening and 7.5 for speaking

thanks
anaz

Hi,

I just received an email from BIQ on regards to my DCSQ about them opening the file. I would like to know if that email counts as the AOR (Has anybody received anything like that?) or if they will send an official document later on. As far as I know they usually send a letter, but on my case the BIQ send this email about 10 minutes after I received an email from my bank notifying me that they have charged my credit card.

So, i don't know if this will be the AOR or if they are only notifying me that they received my application and payment.

Thanks, so I guess I won't be receiving any letter from them?

Can't say for sure, as every case is different.

In the email you got your file number so a letter through the mail won't make any difference.

You can't apply as single as you are married. You have to apply with your family.

Glad to finally see people from Central America! So you are one of the first Central Americans I see that are already applying at BIQ Mexico city. What is your AOT? How long did it take you to receive your first AOR ? Let's all hope BIQ Mexico is faster than Guatemala for processing.

URGENT HELP PLEASE

Hello seniors,

My Quebec Skilled Worker application was received by BIQ Hongkong in 3rd September 2012. Till now I haven't received the Acknowledge of Receipt.

The enclosed bankdraft will expire on 9th January 2013. It means if BIQ won't cash it before 9 Jan or I won't cancel it before 1st Jan, the bankdraft will be useless and I will lose all the money ( 906 CND ).

BIQ replied that "In reply to your fax dated 2012.12.20 concerning the expiry date of your submitted cheque, please note that your file is still waiting for processing and il will take quite a time. Kindly be patient. If your cheque is expired at the moment we cash it, we will return it to you for renewal by the post. It's your choice to cancel the cheque now or to wait for the return of cheque later"

Please advise me what to do. Should I cancel the cheque now and buy a new one (which would cost me another $100), OR withdraw my Quebec application and apply for Federal in May 2013 ?

Thank you very much for your advice.

Any Seniors please suggest him...............

Hi guys,

Did anyone noticed that the A-1520-AA form was updated and there is a new note (in parentheses) in step 21? Anyone knows what does that *exactly* mean?

A consultant had once told me that one can apply as single applicant even if he/she is married. But they might be asked to explain why ....dont hide ur marriage but you can still apply as a single applicant......you should confirm it with a good immigration consultant or lawyer.

If single applicant then 49+6 will apply

HELP!!!! :(

Hi Seniors,

I wish to know if one's payment for the CSQ can go to the BIQ in a different mail other than the application PACKAGE for the selection certificate? This is because the person who's credit card is to be used to pay my fees lives in another country...and checking out the payment forms, the owner of the card has to sign it, and the principal applicant signs, and the form included in the application package before sent, else it will be returned!! I am confused!! :o

HELP ME!! :'(
